Welcome high priests and priestesses of old! This digital manuscript is created for you, it contains all the knowledge one must possess to take a closer look at the Greek Goddesses of Loona. If you are ready we can continue with a brief discussion of what lies behind the inspiration for this blog.

When the mv for PTT came out I was having a serious case of dejavu. Not so much with the visual aspect of the mv but most importantly with the song itself, especially the first few seconds of it. I know it was influenced by Bollywood and the instrument can be tied to the Korean folklore music but I has something closer to home in mind when I decided to search for what i was reminded of.

Above you see a small demo of the song I was reminded of. The song title is Dance of the Satyrs by Daemonia Nymphe. This is a taste of ancient Greek folklore music, the music that was played during festivities and when offerings were presented to each God and Goddess. I tried to slow PTT to make it more easier to the ear, since the song is vastly faster than Dance of the Satyrs.

You can see now why I decided to make this blog. After closer inspection a lot of the stood out to me like they could fit the Goddess criteria so the first pair is going to be ViVi and Olivia. I decided to give them Artemis for the reasons I will discuss below.

Giving ViVi the floor since I'm still a bit salty about her screen time lol. ViVi's close ups have her wearing a head dress with elements of her given animal, a deer. We see antlers and it is grandiose and embellished with ornate pearls and silver garlands. Silver was Artemis' given metal and pearl one of her gemstones.

Moreover, in art Artemis is usually depicted with a stag. Not only was Artemis the goddess of the hunt, she was also known as the goddess of wild animals, wilderness, childbirth and virginity.

Next up is Olivia. I decided to include her too since her animal is a wolf, one of the animals Artemis was associated with, animals she protected and also animals she hunted. In literature she was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and an arrow.

Taking a closer look at Olivia's head dress we can see it has silver accents as well, lots of fur, maybe related to a wolf's fur or the fact that hunters wore the fur of animals to stay warm or scare other hunters, show their superiority. Looking at Artemis being a huntress the latter seems to tie in nicely.

Both girls fit the energy and aura of this Goddess, they showcase some of the most well known traits of Artemis and they remind me of her a lot.

Even though she was celebrated as a secondary deity a temple was built in her honor. The Temple of Artemis or Artemision (Ἀρτεμίσιον) was located in Ephesus and it became one of the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World".

At least two festivals were celebrated in her honor of Artemis: Brauronia and the festival of Artemis Orthia.

I didn't put anyone as Aphrodite this time around. The theme of the mv made me think of specific Goddesses.

Maybe in another blog I could include her too. :purple_heart:

I hope you like this regardless the lack of Aphrodite, babes hehe :relaxed:
