Hi all! I have recently seen a lot of

   questions on how to insert videos into

   an Amino post. I will show you two

   methods today!

                                      PS. The video I will be using

                                      is not my own. ^^

Two Methods:

1. Embed from camera roll

- often bugs: sometimes videos do not play

- 15 sec clips only

- use if you have no other choice! :d

2. Embed from YouTube link (preferred)

- much more reliable

- unlimited length

- videos don’t have to be public

- only OA will be able to view

DISCLAIMER: Embedding a video is different from simply pasting the link into a post, like https://youtu.be/tnu52bHr0BI, or like this.

Embedding a video allows s to see and play the video directly inside the Amino app instead of having exit to a external YouTube page. It looks a lot nicer, too!

Method 1: Embedding from Camera Roll

1) Add photo to gallery - click on the “Gallery” tab and select “Add New.” [fig. 1]

2) Select a video from your camera roll and adjust as needed, then save. [fig. 2]

3.) Feel free to caption your video with the “description” and reorder its position within the Gallery tab. [fig. 3]

4.) Tap on the text location of the post where you would like to embed the video, and select the “ :sunrise_over_mountains: ” icon. [fig. 4]

5.) Click on your video to embed it! [fig. 5]

Method 2: Embedding from YouTube Link

You will need: YouTube and app/web browser

(I made a separate channel for all of my Amino posts!)

1.) On the YouTube homepage, or from YouTube Studio, click the “” button in the top right corner, and your video. [fig. 6]

2.) (optional) In the “visibility” settings of the video you just ed, change your video setting to “Unlisted.” This makes it so only on OA with the link can see the video. [fig. 7]

3.) Copy the link to the video. [fig. 8]

4.) Add video to gallery - click on the “Gallery” tab and select “Add New” and “YouTube Video.” [fig. 9]

5.) Paste in the link to your YouTube Video and confirm to add it into your gallery. [fig. 10]

6.) Follow steps 3-5 of method 1.
