Seeing people (mainly YouTubers) play pieces that seem challenging easily. It inspires me to try and play like them. That and I need to be the very best, like no one ever was... I’m sorry-
Sometimes I practice as a stress-relieving activity; other times I just have a piece/trchnique to work on. Sometimes I listen to a professional recording and think "I want to play that" or "I can play better than that". Sometimes I practice the things I want to teach others. There are many reasons...
Watch videos of harder music to get me to want to be at that level, and although this sounds horrible, I also watch videos of beginners to gain some confidence (sowwy). Then I make my bed, make sure the room is clean, and brush my teeth, all of which gets me set t practice. I sometimes facetime my friend and put them at a low volume so I feel better to practice since someone is basically there with me.
Hahaha I love your energy!! Brushing your teeth in preparation for practice

Yeah, as a wind instrumentalist you have to brush your teeth or wrinse your mouth out before playing, preferably brush your teeth. This keeps the gross stuff from getting in your instrument and making the keys stick, which is something my flutes struggle with.

Brooo I didn’t even realize that brushing your teeth had to do with playing, I thought you were just doing it for the sake of staying clean hahahhaha
I'm really begginer, but I just love my flute and its sound
something that really motivates me is seeing others practicing. if I see other people playing, I want to practice as well :)
