Mery is more reserved than a usual teenager, finding difficulty in expressing her emotions and engaging in conversations with other people. In response to being spoken to, she'll often stare silently, trying to think of a response, however this is usually taken the wrong way, leaving her panicking even more and finding further difficulty in responding. It's easier for her to speak with people she's comfortable with, because they'll understand her thought process, making it less likely for her to reach out to strangers unless she finds them really interesting.

She assumes things very quickly, and will stubbornly stick by them, unless proven otherwise, though she won't voice these assumptions, it's easy to see some of the prejudice she'll develop based on what she sees alone. With her not interacting with people, she took it upon herself to figure things out herself, leading up to this habit.

Due to Mery's asthma, her parents moved to Beach City in order for her to be able to breathe easier. She lived there for quite a while, though the residents of Beach City never saw her, as she only came out of the house at night, and stayed in a some what secluded part of the beach. However, Ronaldo has seen her, seeing as he often resides in the lighthouse overlooking the town.

( im most definitely gonna either continue this backstory, or completely revamp it. im just not feeling very creative )
