MOTS:7~THE JOURNEY~ jeans

It's currently almost 2am and I'm here with a new post :D

Sooo I was going through my closet the other day and found a pair of jeans. They were a little too tight and I have almost never wore them so I decided to make them bigger and paint them!

It was really hard to come up with anything to paint on them but then I ed the Mots:7~The Journey~ album cover. I reaaally love the flowers on it so I decided to paint them on my jeans.

I started with flipping the jeans inside out and cutting the outer seams open. I thought about cutting the whole seam off but then I noticed it was kind of like holding the pocket together so I didn't.

I had some extra fabric left from my previous projects so I used it to make my jeans wider. The fabric wasn't long enough so I had to cut two pieces per side.

First i cut one piece to fit and then used that one as a guide to cut the other piece out.

Then I pinned everything together and made sure it fit. First it didn't fit so I had to cut the pieces a little bit and then pin the entire thing together again.

When I was sure it fit, I sewed the two little side pieces together and I was too lazy to make a waistband so I just folded the edge and sewed it like that.

Then I sewed everything together and flipped the jeans back. I also cut the jeans to be the right length and added some belt loops to each side.

After all that it was finally time for the painting part. I found some fabric paint while I was going through my closet

(yes, my closet has a lot of random stuff in it lol).

I ended up mixing the fabric paint with acrylics

(Idk if that was a good idea (probably not))

because I ran out of fabric paint.

First I sketched the flowers with a green marker because that was the only thing I could find at the moment.

Then I started painting. It took sooo long to paint everything but I really enjoyed it even tho my hands and back died because I painted the entire thing on the floor.

Lastly I outlined everything with a black fabric marker to make it look cleaner and nicer.

The whole thing was finished at 11pm and I started doing it 11am. I have no idea how it took around 12 hours but it was worth it. I love how these jeans turned out!
