Lukas

Under an United Nation-[CBI] Warning! Possible spoilers for Fire Emblem Echoes! Plus a very long post ahead!

[CB] ┏━━━✦❘༻༺❘

After the war was won, Lukas continued to serve Alm and Celica. It wasn’t long before he rose in the ranks, and eventually grew to be head of the Royal Guard. Throughout the many years he served, generations of soldiers cited his curt yet kind teachings and leadership. Lukas wasn’t just a general however, he grew to become an advisor to the new King and Queen as well. He, Sir Mycen, and others gave them a many needed advice to rule a kingdom. King Alm, although courageous, was not the brightest scholar. He studied with many teachers and specially Lukas. It’s speculated that this was when Lukas’s mind was made.

In the end, Lukas’s heart never truly laid with battling and eventually he retired before his full term. He retired to his old home, where his brother, an aged and changed man, welcomed him with open arms. It was here where Lukas truly began his life and opened a school. The teachings that could be acquired here became known far and wide and towns and villages rose up close by because of it. Lukas’s heart was set, or so he thought.

Lukas was never one to yearn love. After his failed courtship with a women before the war, he never felt such feeling for years. By the time he found the one for him, a wise scholar like himself, he and his wife were far too aged to have their own children. This problem would be solved not long after their marriage. Nearby their school, an orphanage had opened. After the war, many children were left behind after their parents had died or disappeared. So, the pair were able to con the orphanage and their school. It served as a normal school for children all over Valentia as well as a chance for orphans to have an education. It was here where they recalled the couple that were parents to many children whose were absent or gone.

Queen Celica offered funding over the years for the orphanage and school. All of it always went into the improvement of the facility and Lukas always sent the extra money back to the Queen. King Alm would also send help and occasionally would visit the kids. Eventually their own children would be taught under Lukas and his wife. For the rest of his life, Lukas lead his school and the children inside up until his death.

King Alm and Queen Celica presented his wife a title for Lukas, “The Virtuous Knight” and he became the first person to be inducted with a memorial in Valentia’s capital. Lukas’s wife never remarried, she continued to serve the school they had built together. Not long after Lukas’s death, she was laid along side him. Those who served along side with Lukas were saddened by his death, and it was said that King Alm silently mourned the lost of his long time mentor.

Lukas was forever ed in the history of Valentia for opening the first school during the wake of the new country. Historians agree that Lukas stayed a wise soul for all his life and that his knowledge was ed down many different generations.

Playful Priestess

Delthea

Under an United Nation-[CBI] Warning! Possible spoilers for Fire Emblem Echoes! Plus a very long post ahead!

[CB] ┏━━━✦❘༻༺❘

The new Queen Celica and King Alm offered Delthea and Luthier a place in the palace, where they could study magic however they pleased and train with other mages and priestesses of their league. However, both declined the offers, gave their thanks, and goodbyes. Luthier set off on his journey to travel the world, despite Delthea’s best efforts. Delthea tearfully bid farewell to her brother, and despite letters being sent back and forth, wouldn’t get to see him for decades.

Unable to convince her brother to stay, Delthea returned home to her village. She came back a hero, but rarely used her status. Only occasionally training her sword and tome skill, Delthea became a wife rather than a warrior. Delthea came back a much mature women from the war, unable to see herself fighting til the end she opted to live a more peaceful life. Around the people she grew up with.

Delthea married not long after the war. Historians are torn on whether it was a powerful mage who traveled from town to town looking for a fight. Delthea was the only one who had beaten him and from that she stole his heart. Others believe she married a childhood friend whom after she was kidnapped, trained and fought in the deliverance in hopes to see her again. Whoever it was, both agree that Delthea grew to be a loving wife and eventually mother to a pair of twins.

These children were both blessed with different abilities. Her daughter grew to be agile with a blade and was ed down the Ladyblade from her mother. Her son grew to be much like Luthier, adapt in magic and maybe a little odd. Still, Delthea knew their talents and equally trained both to become experts in their crafts. Soon both kin wished to travel to the capital, much to Delthea’s dismay. Unable to lose them too, Delthea and her husband traveled with them and vowed to stay there until their studies were done.

King Alm and Queen Celica welcomed Delthea with open arms, and this time she stayed. Those in the capital knew of the “playful priestess” who became prominent and folktale and were elated to meet the women it was based on. Many wished to be under Delthea’s wings and learn the crafts she perfected. It wasn’t until her family pushed was when she complied. Delthea became a mentor to those who were brave enough to undergo her dangerous training. Traveling in the deep woods to find tough enemies to battle and cautiousness ingredients to take.

As Delthea taught her students over the years, her children studied vigorously. Her son graduated early and became the youngest tactician to grace the Royal Guard. Her daughter, although still acing her tests, preferred to study other subjects, a boy she met. Little did she know, the boy’s parents were of familiar friends, of particular nobility as well. Sir Clive’s and Lady Mathilda’s son was studying to become a scholar rather than a knight. The boy couldn’t help but fall in love with her, having carrying the same charm as her mother. Soon the two planned to be wed, a wedding between a born commoner and nobleman was still rare in Valentia however.

The engagement of these two families close to Queen Celica and King Alm was to be the wedding of century. The royal family orchestrated a grand wedding for the young couple and both parties couldn’t be happier. However Delthea was no where to be found. Not long after the engagement, Delthea’s latest student brought her home to her husband, in their arms. Delthea seemingly bit off more than she could chew and, according to legend, the situation turned dire drastically. In the end, Delthea protected her student, interfering with a spell unknown to man that was originally casted on them. Despite the happy engagement, Delthea was dying, and fast.

Her distraught husband planned to go on a journey and find the cure for his sick wife. Her daughter stopped all wedding arrangements to be with her mother and her son temporarily resigned from his position to aid with his sister. However, the once positive Delthea stopped all of them. She felt that she has done her part and only wished to be with her family as she’s ed on. Her family stayed with her unable to be from her side, not knowing when it would be her last day. One day, when Delthea was at her weakest, a cloaked sage came in the house and wished to see the dying priestess. As he sat alongside her, he put down his cloak, “Lu...” was all Delthea was able to pronounce.

Luthier rushed back from his travels, having heard the news of his sister’s illness. Throughout his vast knowledge of all magic, he knew what could only be done. The spell casted on Delthea had no cure, she would surely die. Knowing the heartbreak it would cause, Luthier decided to use the darkest magic possible for his little sister. Chanting omens and words of foreign language, he possessed a light orb taken from his own heart and gave it to Delthea’s. With that she was cured, but only for awhile. The great sage Luthier was noticeably weak from this, but paid no mind to it. Delthea was healthy and the wedding would go on.

Eventually, the day came. Delthea, her husband, and Luthier watched as two families became one. It was a grand day full of happiness and laughter, but it seems Delthea and Luthier knew what was coming. Delthea laid to rest that day, summoned her family before she slept. She explained what she knew, Luthier had given what was left of his life for hers, so that she could live to see her daughter marry. Her Husband wept, not wanting to let her go. Her children broke down, Delthea would never see her grandchildren. They all knew what was coming. Solemnly they left Delthea, having said their goodbyes she slept with a smile. The next day the family came back, to a weeping Luthier clutching the hands of a cold Delthea. The capital mourned the loss of the powerful priestess as a public funeral was placed.

After the ceremony, Luthier sat next to his sister’s grave, unable to move. Despite her family’s efforts, he seemingly wished to stay through nightfall. Before they left, Luthier gave his journals of all his knowledge to his nephew, stories of Delthea to his niece, and a bracelet in which Delthea made for him when they were kids to her husband. The next day, people saw the sight of a slumped over man at Delthea’s grave. Due to the spell he casted over Delthea, his own life diminished and Luthier died and was buried next to his beloved sister.

Delthea’s family managed to move on from the losses, her son grew into a wise tactician and her daughter into a skillful swords woman. Her husband silently ed their lives as his came to an end years later. Before he ed on, he made his life’s work public: the story of Delthea and Luthier. The story of the two siblings that changed the world together and ed on together became known across the world, “The Playful Priestess and the Stoic Sage.” Despite the decades they spent apart, Delthea and Luthier never stopped loving one another in their own special way. Scholars agree that the two will continue to bicker where ever they are, for all eternity.

Hey I think you made a spelling mistake in the title. I think you meant “United” and not “Untied” unless I missed the point of this post.
