I honestly loved the Ithaca Saga, I was none stop crying with every song. I was waiting for a long time for Ody and Penelope to finally see each other again as well as for the father and son reunion.

I especially loved when Penelope told her Husband to take out the bed, just to prove a point that he’s still the same husband.

One of my favourite lines was from “I can’t help but wonder” when Ody said: “Oh my son look how much you’ve grown. Oh my boy, sweetest joy I’ve known. 20 years ago I held you in my arms, how time has flown”. This honestly breaks me every time, making me cry because I found it worded so beautifully.

The live stream was also a joy to see, especially seeing how everyone in the cast cried after “Would you fall in love with me again”.

This journey was amazing to follow and the songs were just absolutely incredible.

Themes:

1. Identity and Homecoming:

Odysseus's return forces him to confront who he is—both as a hero and as a man-while navigating the changes in his world.

2. Reunion and Loyalty:

The deep bond between Odysseus and Penelope, and the loyalty of a few trusted allies, stand in stark contrast to the betrayal of the suitors.

3. Reckoning and Justice:

The brutal ending serves as a reckoning for the suitors' disrespect and exploitation, reflecting the consequences of their actions.
