Apple/Snow and Raven are NOT Related

Once Upon A Hi, Fairytales! Naomi Love here. I’ve seen a lot of misconceptions lately about Raven Queen being related to Apple White and/or Snow White and wanted to make this blog to clear it up.

Firstly, I see people thinking Apple is Raven’s niece, and Snow White is her stepsister. Since the Evil Queen was Snow White’s stepmother, another misconception is that it that technically makes Raven and Snow White half-sisters because they are both the daughter of the Good King, and Raven is Apple’s aunt.

I even see comments from people who think that Raven is Snow’s blood sister because of this. Recently I saw a comment saying that Raven was “legally Apple’s aunt” which made me laugh because… what? :joy:

So… what’s their actual relationship?

They aren’t blood related at all, and they aren’t step-related either. It’s true that Raven is the Evil Queen’s kid and Evil Queen is the stepmom of Snow White, but that doesn’t make Raven and Snow White half-sisters or sisters. No, Apple is not Raven’s niece. Snow White is not Raven’s stepsister. Snow had Apple, but Raven is not Apple’s aunt.

The grandfather of Apple is not the father of Raven. The Good King is not Apple White’s grandfather or father. He is the Evil Queen's second husband, another king she married, following the death of her first husband, Snow White's father (she didn’t divorce him, he DIED). The Evil Queen did not stay with Snow White’s dad. Ever After High Dolls confirmed on Facebook that Apple and Raven aren’t related.

Raven and Snow White have different fathers, not the same Good King- they don’t have any common parents because they have a different mother AND a different father. Snow White’s father is a different king than Raven’s father, and he dies in the beginning of the fairytale shortly after marrying the Evil Queen.

Conclusion

I hope this clears things up! I see people using Raven and Snow being related as a reason why they look a little bit similar (pale skin and dark hair) but the Evil Queen also has pale skin and dark hair.
