For all those that don't check YouTube for resources, and use Bullet Journal Amino as their first address to check out new stuff and learn, I decided to make a guide on Handlettering. I will share what I know about it, how I started out and how you can improve and all the handy dandy tips I can give you (this is becoming my fave word, watch out)

I am no pro, but I can make it look good and that's the most important part. So you can totally trust me

Have you ever had a moment, where you can't come up with a new font or you just don't want to spend three hours on writing a perfect title? There is help, all you need is internet and maybe a printer.

There are a million ways to write one letter and thankfully there are some awesome artists who do nothing else then create new beautiful letters everyday and they are available for free. My favourite place to get new fonts is Dafont.com.

But there are tons of other places just google "free fonts" and you are good to go.

Either you can just browse through, get inspired and copy from the PC/phone with your free hand OR you copy it directly.

To search the perfect front, you can type in the word you want to see.

Then you choose the font you like and it.

Afterwards go to your folder, extract the .zip file, open the font and install it (if anyone needs help with this step, let me know)

Then you can open word and write whatever you want to add into your Journal.

You can directly copy it from you screen if that works or print it out.

If you don't have a printer and you don't have a screen, use your phone. All the font pages work on phones, too. Just do the same steps I explained and directly copy from the browser of your phone.

I mostly trace directly through my notebook, because I have thin pages.

If that is not an option for you, take an extra paper, use your window, or computerscreen or your own bulid lightbox, trace it, cut it and glue it in

And as we learned the last time:

Always pencil first!

Afterwards you can either blacken it out or color it in and then line it out afterwards. As I will talk about coloring in a later lesson I just let it white for now

How easy is that and how gorgeous does it look. Let me show you where in my Journal I exactly used this technique and how no one even new this wasn't done by free hand

The effect is stunning, I know and saves time and nerves.

And for the next week you get a little homework

Take your Brush Pen and try to use lower pressure for the upstroke and strong pressure for your downstroke and do this exercise for the week

If you can't what I mean with upstroke and downstroke check Part 1

Part 3

Part 4

Till next time
