Concrete was used to create the

sculpture known as S-173. It may

move quickly and will kill by either

snapping at the skull’s base or

strangling the victim.

However, S-173 cannot move when

it is in a person’s line of sight.

S-173 must always be maintained in

a secured container. No less than three

individuals may enter S-173’s container

at once, and they are to close the door

behind them when they leave. Up until

all staff have left the area and the

container has been relocked, two

people must always keep direct eye

with S-173.

The player comes into with

S-173 for the first time. In order to

conduct testing on S-173, D-9341

and two other class-D inmates are

taken from their cells at the beginning

of the game.

A power outage at the testing location,

however, gives S-173 the chance to

murder the two class-D personnel and

a guard before making his way into

the ventilation system.

As soon as there is a containment breach,

S-173 briefly shows up in the office

next to the containment area. S-173

will pursue the player and make murderous

attempts throughout the whole game.

S-173 cannot move if the player does

not blink or look away from it.

S-173 will either advance noticeably

closer to the player or unlock any doors

in its path if the player breaks eye .

The sound of stones scratching against

each other as it moves may be heard.

Any room in the facility has the potential

to generate S-173. Locker rooms,

gas catwalks, server farms, the little

testing room, and occasionally metal

halls are frequent places where it may

be found.
