• BLANKET •

by suran

Suran has returned with the chill and silly Blanket! I'll tell you now, this song is filled with charm. From the tropical sounding beats to Suran's lovely voice, Wonstein's awesome feature to the mention of Netflix, Blanket carries lots of personality without being overpowering. In fact, the song is a rather easy to listen to, perfect for those times when you want to relax under your blanket and just forget about the busy day you've just had. Suran, of course, has once again made it a point to show-case her unique and attractive voice, it filling the song wherever it can. From little vocal harmonies during pauses in the main melody, to fun adlibs, there's always a bit of Suran everywhere. And I can't complain cause she has such a pleasant voice to listen to!

Much like the melody and instrumental of the song, the lyrics aren't terribly complicated, choosing to focus on something rather mundane, which is the feeling that just being under the blanket is the best. I'm certain we all have those moments where we're just glad to be home in our own bed, watching something on Netflix or on any other platform. And this relatable element in the lyrics makes Blanket quite personable. There is, however, mention of wishing to be with someone else, even longing for them, despite it not being possible, which adds a small element of heartbreak to the song. At the end of the day though, watching some show while lying under the blanket, is still the best thing, even if that show you're watching is a bit boring.

• XTRA •

by AleXa

Prior to this release, I loved all of Alexa's songs but this one pleasantly surprised me with how fun and refreshing it was. I already think that Xtra might be my favorite Alexa song overall. Instantly upon hearing it I noticed how different it was from her usual sound and concept. It sounds super pop and retro. I didn’t expect it at all, but it was a great change of pace for her. We all know she’s capable of being badass but we got to see a totally different side to her this time. Particularly, I think that this song showcased her vocal capabilities more than some of her others. Due to the nature of the song, her voice was rich and vibrant. Like most people, I listened to this song confused as to when BM was coming in lol, but I’m actually glad she had it to herself since she truly got to show off her talents.

Branching off of that, one of the best parts of this songs is actually the lyrics. Ask any of my friends, I don’t usually give the lyrics a second thought if I like the melody, but the lyrics are what make this song so incredibly catchy. We already know our girl Alexa is fluent in English so it makes it very easy for us small brain monolinguists to sing along. The chorus and pre chorus especially. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve had ‘I like my burger and my fries with extra cheese, yeah’ stuck in my head or even overheard my dad singing the ‘I got you, I got you, I got you’ part. One of my favorite parts is when the beat slows down and she comes through with that angelic voice singing ‘You are my favorite crime’ just perfection. It provides the perfect balance with the otherwise fun and upbeat song. I could honestly go on because the whole comeback is literally iconic but I am obsessed with this song. Xtra could easily be one of my top releases this year!

• WEEKEND •

by taeyeon

I was so excited when Weekend was released, as it’s been a while since What Do I Call you? back in December. A nice switch up from her usual ballads, Weekend is a lighthearted song which seems to make the listener feel as if they’re floating. Taeyeon uses a more airy and breathy sound, which helps to build the light feeling of the song.

Beginning with a muted version of the song before a click and inserting of cassette tape is heard, it’s an inventive way of starting. When I first watched the music video, I brushed the start off, expecting it to only be an extension for the MV, however I was pleasantly surprised to hear it in the original audio as well. Jumping onto what seems to be the never-ending retro/city pop trend, Weekend is a pleasant listen to the ear as we enter the first verse and chorus. The strong instrumental keeps Taeyeon’s soft and airy voice going, a nice contrast between the two. As the bass begins to gather the pace, we enter the falsetto-like chorus. There is a casual feel to her voice, almost like she’s just talking, but with tone. I found the scale-like ascension to the chorus pleasing to the ear, as the harmonies are layered over during the chorus for a nice, delicate texture. Taeyeon’s rap is more like the ‘talking’ rap than a hard one, which suits the song very well. The small adlibs scattered around the song adds some difference to the song, a way to keep the interest of the listener. The song is set in a higher key than Taeyeon normally sings, and thats how she creates the airy illusion of the song. Weekend is just an enjoyable, chill song to listen to, consistent in its instrumental and delivering of the song. A great song to listen to during a car ride or while sipping a cup of coffee, Weekend definitely takes a top place for the July releases.

• PAINT THE TOWN •

by loona

Who is it cuties? LOONA OT12!!! Yes Loona is back with Haseul to paint the town with beautiful colors that only Loona can create so wonderfully. Every single millisecond of this song I adore. Already the instrumental for this song is just spectacular with the Bollywood sound. I really enjoy those massive Indian drums, giving it a booming effect followed with smaller drums for a trickling effect. And that Indian flute that weaves this whole song together to make it so fierce and mysterious. I find each section of the song executed to perfection due to the girls delivery.

The thing about Paint the Town that makes everyone crave it again is the way this song builds up. The start of the song with HeeJin is light and pretty feminine with her tone. Then Kim Lip and Gowon come in with their verse to stir up this more “cool” side of Loona. And one of the strongest aspects I find of Loona is how they create so many parts to make this “back and forth” style. The prechorus here does exactly what it needs to do to get your excitement for the chorus and we can hear this with Jinsoul’s lines, extending her note at “stop”. The chorus is pretty minimalistic yet super effective due to the superior instrumental chosen. The line “paint the town ra ta ta ta ta ta” is repeated, yet it easily gets stuck in your head and I swear it’s there for weeks! Then the post chorus that hammers this ferocious sound of the drums/flute so much that it makes you lightheaded. I also really love the rap section after the chorus as it transitions really well. My favorite part of the song is back and forth between Jinsoul’s verse at 1:41, because her tone is just so mysterious yet sweet. The other contender for best part is of course the bridge with the vocals that just make me swoon. The instrumental drowns out and we just have Hasuel’s voice putting you in a trance, then there’s suddenly Chuu’s powerful voice and high note. I have whiplash yes. My only complaints about PTT is…where are Vivi and Gowon?!?

• IS THIS BAD B**** NUMBER? •

by soyeon feat bibi & lee young ji

is this bad bitch number , this song oozes a very peculiar but strong girl crush vibes into it if you know me you are aware i never , never listen to something like this song but like with this it caught alot of my attention first and foremost i found it because of some of the negative attention it regained for a while and i was like is it really that bad ? and i gave it a shot and to my surprise it really sounds great and catchy the overall swag and crazyness is such a soyeon thing to do and i dont even know who young ji was until this song came out and bibi uh well i do know about her but I'll just simply say im not a huge fan of her but well she did great on her parts so props to that

anyways the song starts with ''hello is this bad bitch number , ah no '' with that lines already being so iconic and probably the mark of the whole song you know that this shit is gonna be amazing and the chorus continues with a very non sensical rhymed but somehow made sense cause its soyeon then we get to hear her rap and as usual she slayed her rap then we get to youngji who kinda terrified me because of how deep her voice was i wasnt expecting that from her ! then we had bibi who had a more softer and sensual voice which adds touch to soyeon and youngji's swag feelings although threw me off the first tine her voice compliments how wild the song goes to her soft yet fast and deliberate singing

I really wasnt even expecting this trio to be this good but hello now that i have heard it this could possibly like break my annoyance / disliking rap in general idk im sorry for whomst i have offended but for me rapping is not my forte and hiphop in general is something i dont think I'll ever get in but after this might give a try

• SUMMERTIME •

by ha:tfelt

Fitting well into the tropical feel of the song, this MV is a beautiful incorporation of colours, from the bright teal coloured photoshoot set up to the dark party atmosphere. The beginning shows a clip of HA:TFELT getting ready for the shoot, and is sized down within a small black square, a nice contrast to the wide screen music videos we’re used to seeing. I love the ‘behind-the-scenes’ feel of the mv, as we see her getting ready and having fun with her friends. The tropical set is beautifully set up, and the sunlight pours in through the giant window s. The vivid colours a nice contrast to her beige clothing (which blends in with the sofa heh). The natural feeling of her own filming as she sings happily is a breath of fresh air, and the frequent cuts into small gives the mv an interesting perspective. However, the favourite part of the MV for me is it’s effects, as it cuts between the cameraman snapping a shot and her posing. The inverted filter gives the MV a slight haunting feel, and fits the underlying icy vibe to the airy song. Transported into a pink sunset, the natural backdrops are a beautiful asset to the MV, and compliment the purple zoom-in very well. Arriving into the darker side of the MV, the night arrives quickly, and we see the bright neon lights amongst the flashing spotlights. There is a sense of fun and amusement throughout the short snippets of ’stripped-down’ in a way, natural parts. It’s like we get to see a part of her normal life, having fun in parties and giggling alongside friends, and it shows a lighthearted side of her within the mv, in contrast to her ‘cold’ smile. It’s a beautifully shot music video, its contrast and relatable making it appealing to the viewer.

• BREAK ICE •

by itzy & second aunt kim davi

Break Ice is one of Itzy’s cutest MVs with Second Aunt Kim Davi bringing a surprising element to the video. It begins with Kim Davi’s solo scene with cute summery vibes from the surfboards, palm tree prints and bright colours. They all have cute solo shots too giving the audience a very refreshing and positive vibe. The props are very bright with huge fruit tables, lemonade and fans. Another scene setting is plain with pastel shapes that mimic a rainbow. The shot before the chorus in Lia’s part is fruit bursting as it transitions to the chorus scene which is so adorable! They perform the simple choreo with fruit and ice floating above them in the sky. It reminds me of red flavour by red velvet. The fruit stall is a good addition along with the sweet pastel purple shirts and white tennis skirts. The transitions are really smooth with the bingsu to the watermelon slices. Their solo parts are short with plain backgrounds and more floating fruits. My favorite part is the second chorus with the shot divided into three. The flashing doodles are cute and keep the audience engaged. Yuna’s part is adorable with her on the lounge as the camera pans outwards to include the other . The part where they jump with splashes of fruit was super cool along with them walking on the rolling fruit! The MV is sweet and quite fun to watch! I honestly had a blast and it gives 100% summer vibes! The visuals are amazing too with a simple set but wonderful editing! All the girls shined including Second Aunt Kim Davi! The fruit made it super refreshing and I recommend you check out the MV to put a smile on your face. Their outfits are super cute with the headband and pigtails! Overall a cute MV! Can’t describe it any other way!

• BATTLEFIELD •

by akmu feat lee sunhee

Tw // mentions of war and death

When I watched this MV for the first time and even now as I watch it over and over for this review, I can't help, but tear up. Something about the black and white colour scheme and how sad the children look just tugs at my heartstrings. I really commend the child actors, cause they've already done so much just with the look in their eyes. This look reflecting nothing, but sadness and emptiness, completely devoid of happiness and the spark of life. Seeing the way those children look really makes a person realise things, both about the past and the present.

Battlefield is filled with imagery of war. There are constant explosions in the distance of the lonely neighborhood, helicopters flying above the area, smoke is flying everywhere. The kids in the MV wield guns, shooting each other with splashes of colour appearing on the screen upon being shot. None of them are smiling. They don't run from each other either, choosing to fight instead. These scenes immediately had me thinking back to all my history lessons about WWI and WWII as I asked myself how many youth were sent to fight on the frontlines only to die. War is always a horrible thing, but the thought of involving little kids in it is painful and I truly wish no kid has to go through the horrors those young ones did during the 20th century.

The imagery of Battlefield, however, doesn't only ellude to war as evidenced by the MV description, which starts off with "Is blood and bullets all it takes for a war?". As time goes forward, it seems the youth are pressured to grow up quicker, being thrust into the world of competition from a young age, when they shouldn't have to think about their future yet. They are, figuratively speaking, forced on the battlefield, which robs them of their childhood and happiness. And ever after coming out as the only survivor and reciving a new uniform, the little girl does not smile, showing the damage this war has done. Her childhood is now gone.

• WEEKEND •

by taeyeon

Sticking to the retro taste of the song, the whole music video is filled with a nice contrast between modern and retro. Filled with pastel colours, there is an an amazing freeze frame when Taeyeon pauses the song - coffee that was being poured stopping midway, papers hanging in the air, people working that have become frozen. It follows the lyrics well, as she holds a cup of cold coffee and cheesecake, a reference to the song. Rather than focusing on a story plot, Taeyeon’s MV is filled with snippets of the choreo, as well as a good amount of outfit changes! The three different sets are all contrasting in colour and vibe, as the office is a beautiful orane colour scheme, the next set is one of the inside of an airplane - filled with pastel pink and purple (any child’s - including me, dream of an airplane would look like this) Even Taeyeon is decked out in pink, as we switch into a cloud filled set for the dance. The cotton candy-like set is illuminated to seem as if they’re on top of the place.

Taeyeon is adorable as she sneaks around the office placing heart glasses on her colleagues, as bubbles float around her. I seeing a funny tweet about how all the electronics in her MV are old ones, like the cassette player, the chunky orange computer and even the MP3 player! Nearing the end, we arrive in a darkly illuminated set, where Taeyeon travels freely around the empty hallways on her tassel-covered scooter. The whole MV is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye (unless you hate pink), and the beautiful ending scene is of the plane leaving amongst the CGI pink clouds.

• BEAM BEAM •

by soyeon

beam beam has such a simple mv yet you can feel the budget on it i really love the food chain / restaurant feeling that soyeon went with on this whole mini album windy specially to this song i mean the song itself feels summery and what do you do in summer yes eat at fancy restaurants i mean it doesnt really suit that feeling but somehow soyeon and her team had managed to pull the impossible

we start with soyeon being introduce as employee of the month as she should ! and then we see alot of familiar faces mostly lightsum and probably some male trainees ( i cant recognize most only the lightsum ) which is what made it great the interaction with cube entertainment groups are undeniably amazing they treat each other like a family maybe if cube do that to theur artist then clc wouldnt be suffering anyways that was such a fun addition then we get to rocker soyeon with that beautiful hairstyle on her silver hair and that burger mascot i find it scary and this is just an agenda for soyeons hate for vegetables fight me and then we get to the outside part where we meet young ji , whos going to appear on one of her side tracks ill be reviewing too ! they had a dance off seemingly cause they were mad at each other another fun addition to this colorful and nostalgic song ! then we get to almost the ending where soyeon flicks off the little burger thing and it exploded into massive foods as it rains doen the street while the last chorus plays so majestically whoever made the editing kudos cause like its genuinely so beautiful and it doesnt look so out of place

• PAINT THE TOWN •

by loona

personally, i’ve made it a mission of mine to uncover some of the mysterious lore surrounding the loonaverse, and through all of my deep diving, i’m always able to salvage enough to put together a really thorough rankers review. yay!

thematically, loona’s music videos are some of the most complex and detailed examples of concept that i’ve seen. visually, they’re stunning pieces of art with of flashing colors and stimulating effects. this is nothing short of both. the opening shots of the music video are extremely captivating as it plays with panning to reveal kim lip standing on her own as white light clouds our vision, who is replaced by jinsoul as the song closes. the closeness of some of their key singing parts indicates their special bond as they both live together on middle earth. jinsoul and kim lip are mirrored blue and red moons, and it only makes sense that this relationship is critical here because of the setting. after the events of why not, earth is on the verge of collapse, and loona finds themselves on the moon as the earth revolves around them. particularly, everything spins around heejin, the creator of the loonaverse. her being the center makes the most sense, as she was the first member to be revealed. similarly, heejin possesses all the colors of the rainbow while everyone else relies on one specific color, and she would be most useful in “painting the town.” the incorporation of some key symbols in the music video like vivi’s deer headpiece, olivia’s constant wolf references, gowon’s butterflies, and haseul’s wings tie in their representative animals in a subtle yet dazzling way. the design choices and the way that this music video is shot is very impressive; the slight blur draws your eyes to the glimmering sparkles of the outfits as each frame flashes by. even the choreography is highlighted well here with sweeping camera motions that follow their every move. it’s really a phenomenon.

• GOOD VIBES ONLY •

by girlkind

at first i'm glad that this choreography made it into this month's edition of rankers. i mean i was really looking forward to their comeback especially because it's a summer one and i fell so much in love with the choreography. it in general is more of a calm and soothing one yet those require so much body control and every move being executed in such a graceful way. like they're rather simple moves included combined with separated moves and a lot of walking around yet it's so impressive to see it being executed in such an elegant way. the moves involve their arms a lot while their moves with the legs are either while standing or slightly switching places,so the focus is automatically on their sharp and clean arm moves combined with their expressions. it's just such a well done choreography for such a cheerful and laid-back summer song. watching them dance makes me feel so joyous and captivated. i also love the different formations we have or like the way they include various directions to look at, to add diversity to this breathtaking choreography. in a way it makes it to something so interactive with the ones watching them perform while their facial expressions truly are so entrancing. they just know how to deliver the positive and comforting feeling of this song while being so happy as well as smiling so brightly. also i realized that it may looks like a rather easy choreography yet slow ones are never to underestimate,so i'm so proud of them for working so hard and doing their best. they really are such skilled dancers who know how much strength to put into every move without making it look too sloppy or powerful yet so elegant. it's just overall a stunning choreography i also find so memorable and those girls definitely the world for still being here blessing us with such amazing content and never giving up

• BEAM BEAM •

by soyeon

This bright and cool song definitely needed a dance that would exude just how charismatic it is, and it delivered. Everyone acknowledges that Soyeon is one of the best main rappers along with her insane stage presence. So I really enjoy how this choreo is mainly about performance. The intro part of this dance is Soyeon surrounded by backup dancers sitting on the floor. One aspect that is interesting is the backup dancers that go back and forth with making a wave effect and being synced. The backup sit back as Soyeon walks forward, and while she doesn’t create many complex movements the simple way she walks is lively and energetic. Following this is probably one of my favorite parts of the choreo, where one of the backup dancers gets a spotlight at 0:36! I absolutely love it when artists let their backup dancers shine as more than just a shadow. It makes the whole performance feel more friendly and interactive. It’s just so fun that as the guy is popping his chest, everyone else surrounds him and repeatedly claps.

The chorus here is also a bit simplistic but there’s a repeated move that makes you want to dance along. The lean back at 0:45, with a slight chest pop and raised arm like you’re protecting yourself from the sun. That kind of resembles the move at 0:54 where instead of leaning back, they lean forward and flash out their hands. Now a part of the dance that probably everyone re the best is the dance off! The inclusion of this little dance off where they split into two groups and each take a turn to have some fun, is absolute perfection. And you just know that everyone is having the time of their lives here eheh.

• TEAMO •

by minzy

Teamo by Miinzy has stunning choreography, being the amazing dancer she is. I watched the p ]erformance video and just wow! She leans so closely to the male dancer lying on another dancer. The dark looking men in the background as they surround Minzy for a powerful start in the choreography. They are all in perfect sync with Minzy stealing the spotlight. It is well choreographed to suit the music with some fast and strong movements and some slower more sexy movements. This is not part of the choreo but the transitions between the light and dark look are perfect. I like the choreography as there are some super hard and fast parts but also ones that look simple that are not. They use their hands and hips a lot, being literally on the same angle with each other as they execute the performance wonderfully. I like the frame movement as they pull her in and out as well as the following movements with the areas that are so hard to keep up with! She struts like a queen as the chorus hits hard like the dance. Minzy is definitely a skilled idol with lots of experience as her facial expressions depict her determination and hard work. The formation changes as also super smooth as the dance gets harder and harder. Minzy blends in the group well but also stands out in the male dancers being the focus. She looks like she is having heaps of fun dancing to her song, blowing a kiss to the audience. The ending definitely was the climax with the dip and small lift. The dancers give it their all as their number increases. Minzy looks like a queen, leading the team well and giving an awesome performance!

by AleXa

It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since AleXa debuted, like a year or such. But without doubt I can already say that AleXa is one of the best dancers, and her choreos have always been top tier!!! And I love how this dance allows her to have more fun. The arrangement of positions is just amazing. Already in the intro with the placement of the backup dancers surrounding AleXa, kneeling on the ground and the chain reaction is so vibrant. Further into the dance you can just clearly see how powerful of a dancer she is, her moves are so quick and clean! Her energy is also out of this world. I also love the part at 0:28 where AleXa is dancing on the side and so smoothly flows back into the formation with the backup dancers. She is also just so cool with those hip and chest pops!

The speed in the chorus is just unbelievable; the hip sways combined with sliding back into position is crazy. I’m also just so impressed with the amount of footwork and that knee move at 1:06. The dance is so hectic specifically in the chorus that I find something new to love each time I watch it. The choreo here is also executed so well due to how charismatic and energetic AleXa is. She’s always moving around the stage and swapping into new positions with different backup dancers. Like after the 1st chorus where initially she is paired up with male dancers, then she dances out to the side where she then starts dancing into a line with the female dancers. So fun and intricate, and it allows AleXa to show more aggressive moves to then more feminine ones, showing her duality. Overall my favorite part would be the strut she does at 2:18 where she walks forward and there’s a sudden burst as she turns side to side with a little footwork! It just turns that strut into something more enigmatic and memorable. Seriously everyone just needs to appreciate AleXa, she is a diamond!

• PAINT THE TOWN •

by loona

just a few days ago, loona released the dance practice for their song paint the town, and yet again, they continue to stun me! it’s really crazy how intricate this dance is, especially with the number of , but while the large group must have made it very hard to synchronize and choreograph, it allows loona to play around with formations and visual effects. it’s so interesting to watch, really! one thing that i always adore about loona’s choreos is that they manage to center each member very well. there are no blatant solos, but subtle gestures like the other pushing their hands towards heejin and choerry during their beginning parts creates lines that move your eyes solely onto one person. while maintaining nice fluidity and cohesion as a group, one person still stands out. that in itself is very crucial in a dance, i think.

this choreography involves a great deal of moment throughout; their formations are ever evolving as time es. i really like how they mix traditional “v” formations to fall into two lines, break off into different groups, or combine multiple groups of smaller formations to make something really unique. it keeps it interesting. the ripple effects are really something else when you have these many , and they pull it off so well to make it dynamic and powerful. i love how drawn out it is; it makes it more dramatic.

speaking of drama, the complex moves! there is so much floorwork where they’re sliding down and working their knees, having to recover quickly to do fast, detailed hand motions, and it’s really cool! the incorporation of about a dozen kicks here is also super impressive.

• WEEKEND •

i love how weekend’s styling utilizes new, trendier pieces while sticking to very classic and timeless aesthetics. all of her outfits are absolutely beautiful and perfectly play off of this sparkling, retro song. and of course, taeyeon’s beauty can’t be underestimated here; i’m sure that no matter the styling, she could make anything look flawless!

one of my favorite stage outfits from this era is from her performance on kbs music bank on july 9th. the colors, first off, are so stunning and play off of each other so well. i love how the light pastels match the tones of her hair, and the yellow and purple complementary colors contrast each other and create some real dimension. i like how the top shimmers, and it matches all the shiny silver detailing in her jewelry. the sheer fabric buddled on top of itself is such an interesting choice and makes for such a cool texture! the waist belt is so gorgeous and sits nicely, and i love how the stylist incorporated the red colors on the beads into her bracelets as well! the patterns on the pants are new, and the different fluid shapes juxtaposing the harsh grids make for really fascinating lines. i love it so much. the way that taeyeon’s hair is styled in her july 10th mbc stage is so so pretty! the two pink bows that holds a few pieces of it back are very cute and frame the little knot in her hair very well. but the real beauty here is the top oh my goodness! it’s one of the most unique and eye-catching pieces i’ve seen lately; the stylist outdid themselves by a mile. i adore the creasing, and the butterfly design matches the soft pink theme superbly. i love the subtle mesh on the skirt and how it falls so nicely.

overall, while those are only a few of the outfits that she wore during promotions, i adored the stylistic choices here! so much attention to detail and excellent conceptually, really.

as my obsession with paint the town continues, i’ve watched every single one of these stages, and loona’s stylist outdoes themselves with every piece, i swear! i’m obsessed with so many of these outfits that it’s difficult to choose a favorite.

however, the outfits from the kbs music bank stage on july 2nd take the cake! the color palette here makes everything seem so regal, especially the golden detailing that line most of the tops and the sparking jewelry. some of my standout pieces include heejin’s white skirt that flows as she dances and adds a layer of needed drama and the bedazzled beading on kim lip’s top. i adore chuu’s statement earrings and the sheer black skirt that hyunjin dones here. paired with the sleeveless crop top and intricate gold and silver lining, i think she has my favorite outfit out of the bunch. the long hem gives it a nice flair while not seeming too stuffy- the fabric used seems breathable and easy to dance in, and it matches well with the mesh in olivia’s top. vivi’s skirt in white pairs with hyunjin’s quite well too. the way that gowon’s golden flowers create lines that draw your eyes down to the gorgeous silver waist jewelry is a great example of mixing metals! and while i’m not a fan of the puff sleeves or yves’s ruched dress, i appreciate that the stylist is trying out new silhouettes! choerry’s outfit lands at second favorite; the sweetheart neckline is so pretty on her, and i love how the black fades down into the skirt. it’s really nice that it’s lower in the front to allow for some of the harder dance moves. yeojin and jinsoul’s outfits are the most simplistic, but i like the monochrome theme! i just wish there was even more accessories on jinsoul’s; it was somewhat plain. haseul looks so pretty here, and i like the layering in the skirt to match the overall scheme of the top and make it seem cohesive! overall, it was just perfect!

Beam Beam is an amazing title song that suits Soyeon’s debut. I will be talking about different stage outfits from her Solo Debut Stage and her Inkigayo Stage!

Firstly, her S ]olo Debut Stage performed on the 8th of July, 2021! The Set is super cute, replicating her MV and her outfit is sweet too! She is wearing a pastel blue and white checkered button top and matching shorts. The shorts are high waisted that look like a band over her tummy. It is branded from alexander wang, the fashion company. It is hard to see but she also has silver embroidery on her left. She is wearing very long lace socks that go up to her knees paired with gorgeous white chunky boots. She also is wearing some big golden rings and some loose silver bracelets. Overall the outfit is super cute and chic, suitable to beam beam!

Secondly, her Inkigayo outfit was so cute! It definitely stood out to me so I decided to choose it aha! Everything in the outfit stands out but also blends together nicely fitting the sweet pastel theme. The yellow tie dye dress fits her and makes her look like a little talented doll! The huge pastel pink bow definitely stands out and would seem sorta annoying when she is dancing aha! But the bright long aqua boots steal the spotlight going up all the way to her knees! It would take some time to put on haha! The jewellery also gives her some bling, not seeming posh but casual and sweet along with the multiple bangles. Her high ponytail also gives her a confidence vibe as a powerful and strong girl! Overall I think the outfits suits her well as it combines her confident, sweet and quirky self!

Can we just start off with a round of applause for Alexa’s bright pink hair? We’ve seen blonde and blue and shades of this and that since her debut, but this color choice was like KABLAM! It was...well…”Xtra.” Haha. And the pink hair also seemed to be the center focal point of her stagings, music video, and overall styling.

With Music Bank’s stage, we had a 90’s style from the jean shorts and cut off jacket to the graffiti background. I love some of the styling choices here and how they were subtle, but worked together to complete her extra look. She has on one bright green necklace paired with a handful of silver ones, as well as some white fishnet stockings and tall white socks.

For this performance on The Show, I was sort of surprised to see her dancers wearing the exact same outfits, even though Alexa’s was slightly different. For this stage, Alexa sported a red top with faded jeans; the color somewhat clashed with her hair, but in a cool way somehow. Haha. The 90’s styling was seen in her multi-colored hair clips, as well. This is one of those trends that’s come back around, though, which we love to see.

Alexa’s Inkigayo stage was distinctly different from the other two, though. The backup dancers were styled differently and Alexa sported a dress this time around. Her pink hair had faded quite a bit by this performance, as well! While her dancers still carried that 90’s style, her dress was a pattern mixmatch style that had me thinking about Christmas time, for some reason. Haha.

Alexa gave us some variety, which is always nice to see! I hope we see another bright and bold hair color for her next comeback. She pulls it off better than most!

The concept of Teamo is very sexy/alluring and her outfits are very diverse. I decided to choose her outfit from the Simply K-Pop CON-TOUR ep 478 and her M ]usic Bank performance which blew me away!

Okie, first the Kpop Con Tour. The whole set was a vibe and nicely set up. Minzy stole the spotlight with her bling bling outfit. The tank top is very intricately designed with feathers fringing the bottom, nice whiite lace and sequins all over! It’s also paired with a nice diamond necklace that totally gives off the Latin vibes from the song. Her grey paints are an interesting plain part of teh outfit with diamond outlines. The friniging is again used from the top to the bottom of her pants, sorta difficult to explain but swiss around as she is dancing! She finished off the look with thick heels and some jewellery! It looks nice and fits the theme of her song.

Next the Music Bank performance was overall one of my favourites! Her red dyed hair really stands out as it is braided into tiny mini plaits that frame her face. Her outfit is very sexy being mostly black with hints of red. It is a dress with thin straps with similar fringing fabric like before but in black. The outfit highlights a wonderful black corset with a blood/maroon red in the centre near the lacing. The dress is quite short and paired with brown sandals to make the more casual but gives a foreign vibe. Minzy is also wearing a dark red thick choker with some cute bangles. Overall I loved this look as it looked gorgeous on her!

thanks for reading! Be sure to check the males versions for this month here!
