What makes a deck called a consistent deck?
Sometimes a single card (like Dark Magician) obtain some s that start to create it its own structure deck or archetype instead.
But, there are structures that are no enough functionals in their own. And cards like Dark Magician right now has more consistent than old structure decks that appears first. While decks like Phantom Knight started with a big and strong way to play and rise up in the meta.
So... What is a consistent deck? Which type of cards it needs to be consistent? The numbers of copies (cards)... An external engine? What?
Let me know what do you think about it.

a deck that isn't shit
For me consistency is in how many games could you get the same start hand/combo. In dl Decks like infernity isn't too consitent because you need to get lucky with draws while let's say harpies pre nerf were basically guaranteed the same board every game. Usually its like that 1 card to start combos I.e launcher, channeler etc.
Very Nice! It's a good example for me
A consistent deck is in my opinion,3 of the utmost important cards,a good wide search engine(6-8 cards?)and some good removal for tons of stuff ie:Graveyard punish, board removals, another thing would probably be just consistently being able to make different plays, not just one solid play tbh, like how Gaia can consistently get their ace monster and have good removal for tons of situations.Keep in mind this comes from a cyber dragon/lunalight player lol
But in another way, if a deck have only a one powerful combo, isn't have consistency for you??
If a one strong combo was made, is difficult to break it and still it could be called consistent deck for me. What do you think about that point.

If someone's play is only one ace monster that is nearly impossible to kill, the top of my head is melodious, the one that can't die by battle and kills special summoned monsters,if something like that is consistently being able to be played and summoned from different kinds of hands then I also think it's consistent. As long as you have a reliable way of doing what you need to do with your deck with different matches then it's consistent.

I love it! Excellent answer my friend. You blowed my mind
Well there's a lot you have to consider really, how many cards, what has synergy, what hands can do good combos, what cards can work with what. I think main point of consistency is how well your cards can work together for combos.
