Hello my lovelies! I am here to tell you all a bit about the chat mod team and hopefully convince some of you to apply and :wink:

Recently, the previous chat mod leader, rose, retired, and I have taken up the spot in her place. We are looking for new to us, so don’t be afraid to apply! I promise none of us are mean or scary 🥺

What is a chat mod?

Chat mods are the ones who make sure that all of the [guidelines] are being followed in public chatrooms here on KA. They are not official s, but they work closely with the leaders and curators to make sure the community is a fun and safe space for everyone!

Some of the responsibilities that will be expected of you include:

•Being familiar with the [guidelines] so you know when one is being violated

•Regularly checking in on public chatrooms to make sure everyone is following the rules

•Reporting infractions to the team so everything is kept track of and in case further action is necessary

•Reminding people of the rules and interfering when needed

Requirements to apply

•Must be 16 or older

You have to be old and mature enough to handle some of the content we deal with. It can be heavily inappropriate or triggering, so please do not lie about this

•Must be level 5 or above

This is to weed out bots and to make sure people who are applying are planning to stick around for a while and commit

•Must be active on KA

You are expected to check in daily to moderate the chats. Of course, you don’t have to be on all day, simply popping in for a few minutes a couple times will be sufficient as long as you’re actually checking the chats

And taking breaks is perfectly fine, life gets busy for everyone so we’re not going to kick you out if you need to step back for a few days. Just don’t ghost us please 🥺

•Able to work in a team

You will not be alone. As the name suggests, the chat mod team is a team, meaning we work together. The team also works with other official teams on KA to make sure everything is running smoothly

•Must follow the rules

Being a chat mod does NOT make you above the law. All of the guidelines still apply to you as they do everyone, even leaders and curators. You need to set a good example to the rest of the community
