It is time to create balance! Come forth, let's get inspired~

I offer you all a new artistic challenge, obviously one focused on "balance"! Now don't worry, I'm not just gonna leave it at that

Because as an artist I adore character design, this challenge is exactly that:

✧A Dual Character Design Challenge!!✧

The Details:

Your challenge, is that based off the prompts down below, you are to search your imagination and creativity to create a new original character pairing design!

To create this pair of two characters, is to create foils and balance between their designs.

Making a new pair will be enough, but if you're feeling like you wanna have more fun with it, then I fully encourage collaborations!!

If you want to collaborate, then you yourself would have to make the foil character to your art-collaboration partner's character.

"What's a foil character?"

Well essentially, a foil character is the character who contrasts another character. That is where the balance of this challenge comes from

You and your collaborating partner will make your own sides to the two characters

:bangbang: If you do collaborate, only one person will submit a post and you will tag the other person :bangbang:

The Prompts:

These prompts will be what you base your characters on and take inspiration from

♤ "Two sides of the same coin"

♤ The dark side of the moon (dark vs light)

♤ the Yin Yang symbol ☯

♤ The Scales ⚖

♤ Fire and Ice/Hot and Cold

♤ Angel and Demon

♤ "Opposites attract"

♤ Summer and Winter, or Spring and Fall (think cliches for each season)

♤ Terrain vs Weather

♤ Greyscale and Rainbow

Those 10 prompts should be enough inspiration for you all, and I hope it sparks some creativity within you!!

The Due Date

Since the work to go into this challenge requires more, you'll have around 2 and a half weeks to complete this!

You have until September 10th at 10pm EST to submit your pieces

Use the hashtag #AllThingsBalanced so we can see your submissions!!

But wait, what are the prizes?

Of course like most our events in the past, there will be winners in the top 3, and for such winners the prizes are as follows:

♧1st place – A fully rendered profile picture (bust up) drawing of the winner's preferred OC! Plus, 25 amino coins

:bangbang: And if you the discord ( https://discord.gg/yxqxNbyxqN ) I'll give you whatever special role you like (appropriate ofc), sorta like a title on amino :bangbang:

♧2nd place – A sketch and flat color profile picture (bust up) drawing of your preferred OC, and 5 amino coins

♧3rd place – A simple sketch profile picture (bust up) drawing of your preferred OC

:bangbang: If you submit a collaboration, both the artists will receive the same award; so you would each get a drawing :bangbang:

Also, you can choose which does your drawing(s)!
