Hello, ACA! Some of you may have noticed that as of yesterday, ACA has officially launched the VIP module. While Team Amino had a specific use for it in mind - one that many of you may be expecting us to follow - we, as well as many other communities we have seen, are adopting it with our own purpose in mind. So while the official intent of the VIP function was to offer exclusive content only to those who pledged a certain amount of coins monthly, that is NOT the way ACA plans to implement this feature, at least as of right now. Moreover, our idea for its implementation is effectively a trial-run: we haven’t decided with any degree of permanence how we want to utilize the VIP function, but our goal is to figure out how to use it best through trial and error - which is what we’re doing right now!

How It Works

So, how DO we plan to implement it? Well, it’s very simple! Our price for VIP hip is very low - only 5 Amino coins. This is because we are NOT (yet) offering exclusive content in return for this monthly coin payment. Instead, it’s intended to function as a sort of tip jar for the ACA s and Welcoming Committee! If you value what our teams do for the community, this is a small but appreciated way to show it. The coins generated from this endeavour will be divided and distributed evenly amongst our team at the end of each month, and in return for your generosity, you’ll receive an exclusive title denoting your hip in these VIP fan clubs!

If this implementation is successful and well-received, we will ideally maintain this system for the foreseeable future! That said, we are open to thoughts and criticisms about the system, which you’re welcome to voice in the comments section below! Please keep in mind that, as mentioned in the FAQ section directly following this, we will NOT be opening the VIP section to individual , staff and WC included - so suggestions in this regard will likely not be considered. Aside from that, all questions and concerns are welcome!

❝ Why won’t you allow individual to apply for use of the VIP section? ❞

This is in large part because we simply cannot pick just a handful of to receive this privilege out of the sea of talented and creative ACA s. Moreover, we feel that the competition and exclusivity it would generate would lead to a harmful environment in which s feel that they’ve been denied an opportunity unfairly, or that their content is inadequate. This system does not allow us to sufficiently showcase the full extent of our community’s talented base nor reward everyone for their contributions, and as such, we decided not to compare s that way at all, instead attempting to offer compensation to those of us who volunteer our time to work for ACA and create a better Amino.

❝ Does the title make me an or Welcoming Committee member? How do I tell the titles apart? ❞

No, it absolutely does not. We understand the confusion given the similarities between staff/WC titles and fan club titles, but a VIP title does NOT mean you are part of either team. While official titles denoting a staff/WC title will be a solid colour and will NOT contain the precedent “ACA’s”, a VIP title will be white, preceded by a “V”, and will begin with “ACA’s”.

❝ What will I receive in return for my coins? ❞

As the hip fee is only 5 coins, you will not receive content or perks as of right now in return for them. As mentioned above, these coins will be treated as tips for whichever team you choose to pledge to - and in return for those tips, you will only receive an official VIP title and the joy of donating to a #rad cause.

❝ Will perks/exclusive content be added in the future? ❞

Maybe! We haven’t decided yet, and are using this opportunity to come to that conclusion based on our own experiences and community reception. If you would like this system to include perks/exclusive content, please feel free to comment your ideas below! Keep in mind that, depending on the amount/complexity of the perks that are sought, the hip fee may be subject to inflation as a result.
