Greetings young padawans!

It’s that special time of the year… sweet, sweet December. Festive events and joyful cheer are right around the corner, so close you can almost taste them! As such, the ACA s have devised a large scale Secret Santa event, to spread the cheer and delight of gift sending and receiving during this wonderful month. We hope you will all read carefully and in on the fun!

What is this?

The Elfster site sums up what a Secret Santa event is pretty well: ” of a group… draw random names to become someone’s Secret Santa. The Secret Santa is given a wish list of gift ideas to choose from to give to their chosen giftee. It’s a holiday classic where the guessing is as much a part of the fun as receiving the gift.” Although due to the scale of this event, we have modified things a bit! The s will set up each person with someone to gift and someone they’ll receive a gift from, and you’ll find out your Santa when they post your gift!

And don’t worry, if the idea of giving a gift to a new person is a bit daunting, you will all receive a PM from the with a list of gift ideas for your Secret Santa! All you have to do is choose from that list one (or even multiple) gifts that you are confident in and capable of giving! Your gift could be anything from in-game items like Bells, NMT, dream villagers, and much more! Maybe you can’t get on your switch? No problem! Try creating an art piece or edit for your Secret Santa. No gift is a bad gift!

Rules

Each entering will receive a Secret Santa to also become someone else’s Secret Santa. If you are unwilling to gift someone, you may not enter. When your gift is ready, you need to post it and use the hashtag #ACASecretSanta. Deleting the post before the deadline means the will not receive their prize.

You are not obligated to send a link of the post to your Secret Santa in PMs, however, you must include a link to their profile within the post so it is clear who the gift is meant for. Failure to submit your gift on time will result in the loss of any prizes you would have received otherwise. If you are interested in ing, you must use the given template in the comments, and comment your filled template. This is important so we can tell your Santa gift ideas.

If you are gifting in-game items it’s okay to reveal that you’re someone’s Santa when you are arranging gifting! For evidence, take as many photos of the items as possible during the gifting, including snaps of your Secret Santa picking the items up to include in your post! No worries if you don’t capture the special moment though, we’ll also accept verification from the person themselves, meaning Amino PMs of them ing the Secret Santa trade. Just make sure you have their permission to post screenshot first! Screenshots should not contain anything offensive, nor information which is personal/sensitive.

All posts must follow the [Guidelines]. As this is an ACA event, posts made for this event will not necessarily be considered off-topic, even if the subject matter is not regarding Animal Crossing. The s do, however, advise to pay particular attention to Guidelines about shoutouts for this event.

Prizes

As this is a Secret Santa event and many gifts are being given out, the staff think there is little need to evaluate and compare our member’s wonderful gifts for prizes. So although it is small, the s will be offering a general reward of one (1) free Christmas themed title of your choice from the following below to everyone who participates. This is, of course, with the condition that you fulfil your duties of Santa. You can redeem your titles after the event by commenting your title choice on the Token Shop wiki!
