[Ci]Hello RPA! Guild Watch here with our new and improved Guild Pr

Hello RPA! Guild Watch here with our new and improved Guild Proposals Page! Previously, you would comment guild proposals under this page, but it has since been remodeled and revamped into the page you are currently reading.

"What is a guild", you may ask. A guild is a group of people with similar hobbies and/or interests that can form an official "club" here on RPA. To gain an official status, a guild must follow the instructions below on proposing their idea. Guilds do challenges once every two months with a variety of prizes, and of the guilds get a title saying that they are an official member.

"What's the appeal of making a guild?" I'm glad you asked! Making a guild that is successful with limited or no negative interaction with staff is a really good way to add something spiffy to your curator application if you haven't been staff in any other aminos. Making a guild also gives you the opportunity to grow a safe and positive space here in the community for your choice of hobby/interest.

[Ci]Hello RPA! Guild Watch here with our new and improved Guild Pr

Proposing a guild is easy! Just fill out the following template in the comments. You may add things to the template, but you cannot take things away. Please avoid adding too much aesthetic detail such as unnecessary space/symbols.

Guild Name

Guild hashtag (must be original and pertaining to the Guild, reusing an old hashtag for a similar guild is fine, though!)

Guild Staff

up to 3 leaders

up to 4 co-leaders

Guild Titles

Leader, co-leader, member

Guild Purpose/Goals

Guild Overview

Guild Activities

enter here

Please note that if you propose more than one guild at a time, you will only be allowed to make one guild at a time if you are the only leader. This means you'd have to make the requirement of all pages and 10 official for the first guild before you can make the second, and so on.

The more detail in your proposal, the better!

Here's an example proposal from a former guild:

About

The Nat20 Guild will be primarily centered around the classic, widely-beloved tabletop game, Dungeons and Dragons. We will take you on adventure after adventure with our array of challenges and opportunities located within the guild. Down below is more information about how things will run.

Campaigns

Campaigns are a given in DnD, so of course we will be hosting these. We plan on dividing into parties around their time zone to give everyone an opportunity to play at the most convenient time. Overall we will have different topics and subject areas to cover depending on the campaign.

In addition, we will allow for to host from time to time as well, just as long as a staff member is there to step in when needed. We will also put in place various systems to ensure that every voice is heard and every opinion is considered. We understand that it is easy to be spoken over in a game that is call-based, so this is a priority for us to watch over.

Just in case anyone missed a session, and comes in the next, we will have a wiki up with notes for the ongoing activities. On this wiki you will be able to find everything that has thus far occurred. We will also likely ask to somehow leave their character sheet in our hands (this being either in the comments or pmed to us to add to said post).

Challenges

The guild will host monthly challenges pertaining to DnD. Topics covered in these challenges may include: world building, character creation, plot development, and collaborative pieces. In addition to this, an icebreaker challenge will be held for to complete within two weeks of ing. These challenges are intended to help guild improve their DnD-related skills and get to know each other and the extensive possibilities of DnD to the fullest!

Discussions

Everyone starts somewhere, and everyone is always learning, so we will also be hosting occasional discussions in which we will walk through things such as DMing a campaign, character creation, plot creation, how to work with a party, etc. This is something we will also gladly let in on as well, for even us staff have things to learn.

Chats

Nat20 will have three chats, four if you count the staff chat, The first being purely off-topic chat for any casual talking needs. The second being on-topic for any announcements, questions, comments or general help with the workings of DnD or the guild itself. The third, and last, will be the game chat. The game chat is where any sort of calls, campaigns or workshops will occur.

Experience Points (XP)

Through challenges and overall participation, will be able to earn experience points (XP) to use during their time in the guild. XP can be used for rewards such as: a choice of the chat theme, activity check exemption, challenge exemption, etc. This will be a great way to encourage member activity and participation in challenges!

Credit to Nar and Levi for the proposal!

[Ci]Hello RPA! Guild Watch here with our new and improved Guild Pr

1. DETAIL. The more detail, the more likely it is that your guild will be accepted.

2. ORIGINALITY. The more original your guild idea is, the more probability it is to be accepted. HOWEVER, try to avoid obscure ideas, or things not many people would be interested in.

3. ASK QUESTIONS. Always feel free to pm a member of Guild Watch to ask questions! We are here to help. You can also look through prior submissions and/or the old post to find examples of accepted guild proposals.

4. PLAN AHEAD. If your guild idea is one that you are positive will be accepted, go ahead and work on posts for them! All guilds must have a recruitment page and an application page. Official/main pages are optional!

5. SPARK INTEREST. Similar to the above, if you believe there's a good chance at getting your guild accepted, go ahead and get staff and ! The more interested , the more likely guild watch will be to accept your proposal.

6. RULES. Not really a tip or trick, but if your proposal is rejected, you must wait at least two weeks before reposting it. Additionally, as said above, if more than one of your proposals gets accepted at once, you must work on the guilds one at a time, or enlist the help of another leader for them.

[Ci]Hello RPA! Guild Watch here with our new and improved Guild Pr

That's all we have for you! Like we said above, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Guild Watch wants to see new, thriving guilds here on RPA, and we cannot do it without the community's help.

Feel free to pm us, or comment any questions below. Please note that this page will be checked once a week, and proposals will be voted on when we have at least five of them. This means that response times can vary from a few days to a few weeks. However, proposals will be voted on at least once every 30 days.

Happy proposing!
