I'm a pianist and a violist. I've played viola for 5 years and piano nearly a year.

How did I get into viola?

Originally I didn't know what orchestra was about, so I signed up for my middle school strings. I signed for viola, regretting my decision because I want to play cello. I begged and nobody let me switch so that's a bummer.

How did I get into piano?

In Jr. High we practiced our orchestra pieces in the piano lab. Every time my teacher left or was absent, we got on the pianos and messed around. I watched the video tutorials on YouTube and learned Moonlight Sonata for my girlfriend at the time. I got a quarter way in before she left me. I continued playing the piano and it brought me a sense of happiness and calmness. I play it every day and I strive to become the best in school. Nearly a year and Im second best to a 9 year pianist. I consider myself prodigy because I learn things very quickly. I can play difficult songs with ease as long as I practice one specific part for at least 30 minutes. Then the next morning its perfect. I swear through and through I was a pianist in my past life. This one was alot longer than the viola because piano means so much more. A dramatic beginning, soon to be filled with extensive amounts of virtuosity.

cello best instrument

ah yes, every violin or viola (or any instrument, really) wants to learn cello. you see these violin and villas before rehearsal starts as they turn their instruments vertically like a clown, trying to get a feel for what it’s like to play cello. us cellos look at them and laugh upon their misery and despair. such amusement it is for us.
