Quill: kindred spirit

A warning for all you softies out there; there

is couple of swears below so be warned.

This is quite different from my normal

posts, that being, there is a ton of writing. I

still have a drawing to show you, and even

an edit, so stay along for the ride. I usually

explain what the theme was at the end of

the blog, but I’m going to do it here so you

aren’t as confused. Our theme was “Your

Marvel Kindred Spirit”, which means we had

to pick a character that we relate to the

most and explain why. I chose Peter Quill.

While he isn’t my favourite character, he’s

definitely the most like me out of the Marvel

crew. (That I know of.) I am able to relate to

some of my more favourite characters a bit

like Thor and Bruce, but I relate much more

to Quill, his story, and his personality. Also

some of this is somewhat personal but it’s

nothing I wouldn’t be okay with sharing.

Now, let’s begin my friendinos.

Last minute edit: I totally relate with Scott

Lang too, but I totally forgot he existed until

now so I’m not going to add him. R.I.P.

Childhood

✿ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✿

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

I’ll it, I wasn’t kidnapped by a blue man

and raised in space to be a criminal,

(Shocking, I know!) but we both had a

somewhat similar childhood. Both of us

were raised singularly by our moms as our

dads left. Speaking of parents leaving,

when we were younger, we both lost an

influential parental figure. Then, a bit later in

life, we managed to find a makeshift family.

Guardians

✿ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✿

Ah yes, the Guardians; The galaxies biggest

assholes, also known as a family. All of the

Guardians can relate back to some part of

my ‘other’ family. They may get on my

nerves sometimes, and they’re all a bunch

of losers (like me), but I still care about

them... even if they roast me all the damn

time. The way Quill and I came across our

families are very different; I didn’t go to

space jail and break out with them to get

money. My families basically my step family,

it’s not quite official but I’m sure it will be at

some point. All of my family can

relate back to the Guardians in one way or

another but I don’t feel like wasting your

time by going into detail nor do I want to

write it all out cause that’s a lot of people.

Personality

✿ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✿

Me and Quill have some similar personality

traits. (Otherwise you wouldn’t even be

here.) We both love listening to music and

dancing, *cough* we’re also pretty bad at it.

Sometimes we don’t always think before

acting, especially if we are emotional at that

moment. In fact, in general, Quill and I are

both emotional individuals. We’re both

assholes and like teasing friends. Also we

are pretty clumsy, forgetful, and in Drax’s

words, pathetic. Now lastly, and most

importantly, we both love pretty ladies.

Quill and me got our priorities straight. :sunglasses:

Drawing

✿ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✿

So I drew Peter and me hanging out. I’m

low key cringing, cause I don’t really like

self-inserts, especially if it involves me. Also

can we talk about how tall Chris Pratt is? I

really thought he was shorter than 6’2”.

Anyways, to talk more about the drawing, it

was a mess to make, like, I swear, colouring

inside the lines makes me suffer so much.

Edit

✿ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✿

I made an edit of my Star-Lord cosplay. I’m

actually kind of proud of it, even though it’s

disgusting. (Cause it’s me.) The programs I

used to make it were ArtStudio Pro and

Picsarts. This was more of an experiment to

see what I could do and to try new things. It

was sort of fun so maybe I’ll try doing it with

some of my other cosplays... hmmmm...

Being the idiot I am, I forgot to take a

picture of the sketch before I cleaned it and

coloured it. If you need proof I posted it on

my Instagram and also got another angle,

which I hope is good enough? Lemme know.
