This is the first book I've read in the Spring Clean-A-Thon. It's been sitting on my shelves for a while so I decided that it's finally time to read it.

Synopsis:
Have you ever wanted to rewrite your past?
Three best friends, all with the same birthday, are about to turn forty. Celebrating at a summerhouse in Maine, Leslie Headrick, Madison Appleby, and Ellie Abbott are taking stock of their lives and loves, their wishes and choices. But none of them expect the gift that awaits them at the summerhouse: the chance for each of them to turn their “what-might-have-beens” into reality…
Leslie, a suburban wife and mother, follows the career of a boy who pursued her in college wonders: what if she had chosen differently? Madison dropped a modeling career to help her high school boyfriend recover from an accident, even though he’d jilted her. But what if she had said “no” when her old boyfriend had called? Ellie became a famous novelist, but a bitter divorce wiped out her earnings—and shattered her belief in herself. Why had the “justice” system failed her? And could she prevent its happening the second time around?
Now, a mysterious “Madame Zoya,” offers each of them a chance to relive any three weeks from the past. Will the road not taken prove a better path? Each woman will have to decide for herself as she follows the dream that got away…and each must choose the life that will truly satisfy the heart’s deepest longings.

My Opinion:
This book was a little bit of a rollercoaster, because at first I didn't liked it, then I liked it, then I didn't, then in the end I did.

Characters:
We have three main characters in the book. First the book introduces us to Leslie. She was a neutral character in a big part of the book in my opinion, we don't know much about her other than that her husband supposedly cheats on her with his assistant, and her family treats her like doo-doo. Of course, she is unhappy and thinks that she has the worst life ever.
Then we have Ellie, who is a novelist. She had an ugly divorce, her exhusband got all her money and now she has nothing left other than her plus weight and depression.
Than finally we have Madison. Once she was the most beautiful girl, but now she is not so pretty, and broken by her past and her exhusband.
(Can you see a theme here?)
She really had a tragic backstory, and I hoped that she will finally find happiness. I liked her the most and in my opinion she was the most interesting character, I only cared about her in this book. To be honest she was the reason a read throught the whole book, Leslie was flat and I didn't liked Ellie.

Story:
The first half of the book is about the three women's past. Out of the three Madison's was the one that I actually cared about, I wasn't really able to invest into the other two's life.
I bought this book because of the whole time travel thing, but we didn't really get anything about it. The book left Madame Zoya and the time travel in mystery. I thought there's going to be more about it, but it was like 1-2 chapter.
The last half of the novel is about how they changed their lifes, what they did in order to do that, and surprise-surprise it has a happy ending.
I would say that the first half is more focused on Madison, the second half is more focused on Ellie and the ending is more about Leslie. I would say I felt like Madison wasn't only my favourite, but the author was the most invested in her story as well. Leslie sometimes just felt like a filler character, and Ellie was just... well Ellie.

Moral of the characters:
Leslie:
The biggest thing that you can learn from her is to always tell what's on your mind and what worries you, because the truth is much more simple than the story you make up in your mind.

Madison:
You shouldn't let guilt control your life. If you know that something is bad for you, you should put yourself in first. And lastly: if you truly enjoy doing something and have dreams, you should follow them, because in the end of the day money isn't everything and you should do what makes YOU happy and not others. Also, don't let people use you.

Ellie:
Even in the worst times, you shouldn't let yourself down and you shouldn't feel sorry for yourself. When people knock you down, you have to stand up and just keep going. In the end of the day you only have yourself to lean on so don't forget who you are.

My Conclusion:
It was an enjoyable read. The genre is usually not something I go for, but I'm glad I read it because it wasn't bad, don't get me wrong tho, it wasn't the greatest book ever, but it was enjoyable.
So did I enjoyed it? Yes
Would I read the next book in the series? Sure.
Would I re-read it? I don't think so.
But overall it did make me think about what I would change, and for when would I go back in time, just to see what would have happened. So with that, I think it deserves the 4 stars.
