PSA: Props // Change in Guidelines

Hello everyone!

I'm Neeri and today I'm here to announce a handy little feature that came with the last update of the amino app (however, only partly for iOS)!

Props

Props are amino coins that you can now gift to s through blogs. Let's say there's this super helpful review or that simply gorgeous weekly spread and giving a plain :heart: just isn't enough - that's where props come into play.

You can give another member props at the bottom of each post. There's already a pre-set amount that you can give (2, 5 and 10) but you can give up to 100 coins at max.

You can also thank people for the props you received! Just click on the green button at the bottom of your post, then you will see who gave you props. By clicking on the little hand on the right side you thank them.

Of course this has a couple good sides! First, you obviously feel great when you get (virtual) money for something you've created. Second, they can also come in as rewards. :eyes: :sparkles: Keep an eye out for challenges, maybe you can get props as a reward there already~

However, let's face the truth, there's obviously also bad sides to this new feature. For example,

people begging for props.

We've had this happen in way too many forms already in this short period since the feature has been released, we simply have to take action.

It is now part of guideline number 4 that you aren't allowed to ask for props/coins.

This includes private message, public chatrooms, walls, blogs, comments.. everything you can think of. If we see you asking for props you will get your message deleted/blog disabled. If you ask for props in PM you may receive a strike.

As you can tell, we're quite serious about this. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: But I hope it's understandable. Props are meant to encourage each other and quality content, and not to message a stranger and ask for them~
