What is the Welcoming Committee?
The welcoming committee is a team of s who are tasked with welcoming new to the community. Their jobs included sending welcome messages to new , answering their questions, reporting inappropriate profiles while welcoming, and interacting with them under icebreaker posts.
Why do we need a Welcoming Committee?
There are many new s coming in every day because AA is a big community. Therefore, in order to make new s feel welcome and enable them to adjust, we need a team that can deliver welcome messages on new s' walls and introduce the community to them.
Team Expectations
The committee are expected to be respectful, well-mannered, and must follow the guidelines themselves. There are times when the committee encounter rude s, and they need to know how to handle such situations. Being part of this committee does not give you any privileges or moderation powers. Abusing your status as a member of the welcoming committee will result in immediate removal.
