Ocean Poem challenge

The challenge: write a poem about your relationship with the ocean.

The ocean has always been a point of massive fascination for me. It is such an enormous thing, and so enigmatic — the fact that we know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the ocean is quite telling. Although it may not seem like it at first glance, the ocean is full of dynamism just as much as the land is!

The ocean is, in many ways, a symbol of life and creation. Every year algal blooms cover the equator in green swirls that can be seen from space, every zone of the ocean has the capability to sustain life (even thousands of metres deep), and the deaths of whales (also known as ‘whale falls’) create sudden ecosystems which can last for decades. Many believe life began in the ocean!

Interesting right .. well write a poem about your thoughts on the ocean . Your beliefs , or just your imagination on what could be out there .

Rewards

Each participant will receive an ocean word of their choice. Something that lives in the ocean . Or even the word ocean25 .

So get writing it has to be more than 20 words long but not too long it takes ages to read . As I will have to read all of them at some point .
