As I start my search for a new journal, I was just walking through my local JoAnns and found a section of planners and notebooks. I thought at first the notebooks were ruled (which some were) but I opened another one and found this:
The brand is Paper Lane. The paper is white with black/dark grey dots, smooth, and relatively thick (I prefer mine to be a little bit thicker that's my main reason for not buying it). It's hard to determine if it will have ghosting or bleed through... It has a hard cover with the shown design. There are other journal cover designs but I believe the rest are ruled. It has one page marker ribbon. No back envelope. No elastic band to keep it closed.
Price (USD):
This is a pretty good price for a dotted journal especially for those who are just starting out.
There was another option of dotted journal right above this one of the same brand. I didn't take pictures but it's there. The other one is a solid color with a small quote embossed (I think that's what that's called?). It has an elastic. One ribbon. However, the paper is much thinner and in my opinion, lower quality. This one was $9.99.
Both are about A5 in size.
Note: Since I never bought them to test, I will never really know how the paper will hold up. You never know, the paper may be amazing! These are just my opinions. :blush:
