Can You Feel It?

Oh boy it’s crunch time now! Yes ladies and germs, the NHL regular season is almost over and we even have a few playoff matchups locked in, with the Jets facing off against the Blues, the Panthers taking on the Lightning, the Canes get the Devils, Toronto gets Ottawa, the Stars will take on the Avalanche, the Kings face off with the Oilers, and Minnesota gets Vegas. Only Washington awaits their opponent with it either being Montreal or Columbus.

Man, I love this time of year! Unfortunately, I won’t get to watch my Rangers this year but frankly they didn’t deserve to make it the way things ended up going.

But man, we have some great stories to look forward too! How will the Blues fair after their late season heroics? Will Jets finally be able to continue their dominant season play into the postseason? Can Fleury be apart of one more Stanley Cup winning team? How will Ottawa fair in their return to the playoffs for the first time in 2017? Can the Caps and Ovie go on one more memorable run after he had a renaissance and became the all time goal leader in NHL history? What about dark horse teams like New Jersey, Carolina, Tampa, LA, and Colorado? Can Florida defend their championship? Can Edmonton recover from last year’s heartbreaking loss? Can Dallas finally figure it out and become the powerhouse they’re billed as? Will someone be able to stop the always strong Golden Knights? Can the Leafs finally put their demons to bed and win a cup after 58 years?

And perhaps (in my mind) the most fun question, who takes the final spot? The surprising Blue Jackets, or the Cinderella story Canadiens?

So many questions, so little hockey left, but you better believe I’ll be here every step of the way! Maybe we’ll even do a watch party!
