🤔We need :scissors: to split this topic in four parts, because we'll viewing 3 Deck' stuffs:

1. Main resources

2. Card's Functions

3. Deck' Stats

Then,

4. Conclusion

---------------- Let's get started ----------------

1. Main resources

Each duel stablish some :deciduous_tree: Main resources that each duelist can get some advantage:

1. Hand... 2. Deck... 3. Extra Deck... 4. Turn... 5. Life points... 6. Field (monster, extra, pendulum and spell/trap zone)

Every single card that use to has a :dollar: cost to activate it , usually needs a little of your resources above as cost.

Why?

Simple... Those are your :deciduous_tree: main resources and into a duel it has value.

What about this cost?

:dollar: The cost in our lovely yugioh game is before the semicolon (in the description). :page_facing_up: If a card hasn't a semicolon maybe has the word: "to"/"then" after it ask you to do something to do before the real effects of the card. :warning: (some archetypes take advantage of the cost too). :no_mobile_phones: The cards without this, it hasn't cost activation (like "Raigeki"). :no_entry: And you can negate the activation but not the cost (because it is before).

We will talk more about it in another blog.

Winning advantage

Another stuff you need to know is: If you keep :chart_with_upwards_trend: with more cards in deck, hands, field, extra deck or life points you can say that you have more advantage in the current duel (in that moment). It's called: :trophy: Winning advantage.

Why?

Cuz, you have the whole resources enough to make a good plays more than your opponent (in that moment).

Virtual advantage

But now the graveyard and the banned zone are places that some archetypes gets benefits from there. So, now we can mention the graveyard and banned zone as a considerable resource for us or the opponent. This kind of resource is called: :warning: virtual advantage.

Why is it?

Cuz his/your archetype deck become those disadvantage or cost into a real advantage and make resourses to its own :recycle: . The unique problem is... The banned zone and the graveyard start empty :money_with_wings: . So, that archetype starts without resources there

, you need more cards, plays and turns to make you combo, usually. :anguished: Be balance with that stuff.

Indeed, we have cards like Super Polymerization, the Kaijus, Invoked and Fallen of Albaz, then we also can multiply our resources x2 taking advantage from the opponent's resources (it looks like a borrowed resources :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :credit_card: ). So, your amplitude of resources is more big than others decks without some of those cards :moneybag: . But, be careful, those cards need to have synergy with your deck too or your could be bricked in some duels.

The archetypes are cards specialist in a sort kind of resources :euro: . And they try to win defeating the opponent using some of yours :deciduous_tree: main resources and its own :seedling: key resources and also recycle those cards to use it again :recycle: .

Some archetypes

At last, those kind of archetypes are more powerful with more and more plays and turns cuz it could make more key resources (like the Sky Striker Ace's archetype) :hourglass_flowing_sand: 🕰

It's like fluffal archetype. Its key resources are in hand, field, extra deck and graveyard. It don't use your life points, the deck (properly) nor the opponent's resources. If you got it, you would be clear in the fact that without cards in some of those places or with those places blocked :no_entry_sign: (with Necrovalley, Ojama King, etc) that duel maybe is lose. You stop his fluffal combo at all.

:warning: To conclude this, you need to understand the key resources for your deck. If you do, you can get the clearest conception of the cards that can help you to construct more resources (faster) and If you know the opponent's :seedling: key resources, you could stop and ruin his resources' generator (I can mention you that a control deck has the mission to find it out and stop it early).

:deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree:

Which main resources you usually use more and which key resources your deck use to?🤷🏻‍♂

 :scroll: Read and share with us in the others blogs. Enjoy and wait for the next part of this topic:
