Artlings Application

    Hi there! 🧡 :yellow_heart:

I've put lots of thought into applying

for the Artlings, but after way too much

pondering I've decided to give it a go,

let's get into it!

    About Me

I go by fran (short for Franka), I'm

20 years old, currently a uni student

and living in 🇪🇺

My hobbies are drawing, reading,

cooking, playing D&D and cycling

as of recently. I also love to collect

things, primarily Manga. I've also

been starting to go for Anime figures,

artbooks, tea and pretty chopsticks

tho... It's tough :joy: Hot weather and

crawly bugs are my nemeses.

Regarding art my preferred style is

cartooney because it requires the

least patience, but I do like to do

semi-realism as well~

    Why do I want to ?

I was part of the Artlings for around

3 years from their introduction in

2017 until last year, when I left due

to not feeling very ionate about

EXO anymore. At the time making art

for the club had started to feel like a

chore and I knew that wasn't what

the club should feel like.

I've been missing EA, the Artlings

and making fanart a lot though.

When I saw the recruitment blog I

thought thoroughly about whether

to apply again to make sure I could

live up to the expectations as well

as not make myself unhappy with it.

I think taking a break from EXO over

the past year has been good for me

and while I may not be a hardcore

fangirl anymore they do still hold a

special place in my heart. After making

some art for EA again recently I am

now confident I can enjoy creating art

about them again, so I'd love to do that

in the Club.

    What Art Means to Me

I've loved to draw my whole life,

I never really know what to say to

"how long have you been drawing?"

because like, I can't ever

not drawing? It's the one hobby that's

always been a constant in my life

and I have no intentions of stopping~

Sometimes I draw to unwind after a

stressful day, sometimes when I'm

bored in class and sometimes just

because I feel like it, which is pretty

often. I rarely go about drawing with

a fixed plan in my head so it's always

a surprise for myself which is fun.

To me, art is something I enjoy and

always come back to one way or

another, as well as something I have

found beautiful friendships over, so

it's very precious to me.

    EA Stats

I know my streak is looking a bit

weak, after I lost a super long streak

some time last year I got frustrated

with it and just stopped checking in

altogether :sweat_smile: I started again to be

able to include it in the application,

hope that makes sense haha

Also idk what's wrong with the minute

counter thing because I was literally

online talking on EA for like 2 hours

last night as well as an hour writing

on this blog this morning and it's just

been stuck on 30 minutes forever so

take the stats with a grain of salt ig?
