An Unknown Special Breed of Cats – Puspins!

Short for 'Pusang Pinoy' (Filipino Cat), Puspins are domestic shorthairs with no officially recognized breed. Their Origins

Historically, Puspins are believed to have descended from the Japanese Bobtail, a breed that originated in China or Korea before making its way to Japan. Over time, as these bobtails mixed with local stray cats in the Philippines, they contributed to what we now recognize as the modern Puspin.

As of 2019, the Philippines had approximately 12 million stray cats and dogs, many of them abandoned Puspins. A common misconception is that Puspins are feral or less "cute" compared to trendy breeds, leading to their underappreciation. However, these cats are just as deserving of love, care, and a warm home.
