Kingdom Series - Jahan

Hey there, I hope you're having a great day ♡

Here's the second to last part of my The KingDom series (technically third to last because I'll redo Arthur). Their rebrand announcement gave me the motivation I needed to finally finish this drawing.

For his character: Shah Jahan was a 17th century south Indian ruler who, amongst other things, built the Taj Mahal.

I gave him a new outfit, because in my opinion, the official ones are a little boring, so I asked some of my Indian friends to help me find something more or less historically accurate to put him in (if anyone here is on oooa, it's Ja Jeong and Riru who helped me). I don't know any of the terminology, but the cut of most of the references quite reminded me of hanbok, so I'm a little sad they didn't go a bit more extra. Jeong was also very helpful in providing me with a translation of "In the end, the sun will protect us." into Hindi and correcting my handwriting.

Once again, the architecture was a pain to figure out and draw, but it's pretty, so it was worth it.

Also I decided to put the ' assigned sentences matching their kingdoms in "their" language on the drawings and I still need a few translations, so if you know Russian or Korean, can you please help me with:
