Karma & Yin and Yang

Karma

The name 'Karma' is of Sanskrit and Hindi orgin and means 'destiny, spiritual force'; The Vedic Sanskrit word 'Kárman'- means 'work' or 'deed'. Often associated with the quote 'what come around goes around'.

The Buddhist and Hindu concept of Karma is the inevitable effect of one's life actions. When one puts positivity into the world, they receive positivity back into their lives. It's a cyclical continuous vibration of the universe and our participation in it - the natural law of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).

The intentions and actions done are considered to be the determining factor in the kind of rebirth in samsara, the cycle of rebirth. Good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and happier rebirths, while bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and bad rebirths.

Yin and Yang

The Chinese philosophical symbol of Yin and Yang shows the law of the universe and how all things are held in balance. We live in a world that is in a state of finely balanced tension.

This applies to abstracts as such as: good and evil, sound and silence, health and sickness, life and death they are all relative to each other, all depend upon each other, all finely balance the one with the other.
