「 How do you handle vip

I tend to go with the first option. It's
quite a personal opinion but I don't
think should have to pay
to see posts as 'fans'. I find
deactivating it to be a way of
maintaining a community feeling.

we had had hex open it for us once and it broke the community for half our :D turned it back off and never tried again haha! that was a fun time ha..
Well, i had some , because of a simple challenge.
In a community I'm a curator in we give the member of the month a vip club.
I think that's a pretty cool idea!
We're currently working on re-introducing the module for our staff as an extra way to generate coins for prizes.
It's an optional deal, but "fans" will get access to behind the scenes stuff, an exclusive chat, giveaways, polls for our community theme, etc. We want to give enough exclusives to make people want to stay subscribed, but not too much that people feel left out.
nothing against those who do it, it's just not my thing personally - what you mentioned actually sounds pretty well balanced, I'd probably subscribe to it if I were in your comm! may I ask what happens in exclusive chats and what "behind the scenes" implies? ^^

The exclusive chat is simply a place for subscribers and staff to interact and have conversation. Maybe we'll host gaming parties with these guys, but that's it. There won't be any exclusive events or bying of guidelines in any way, and people can still be moderated if needed.
The behind the scenes is generally aimed towards funny staff moments, but there'll also be sneak peaks for events and maybe some info on how we run things if people are interested enough.
