》POLL of the WEEK 《
╰─━━━━━━━━━━━━━━─╯
Hey everyone, for this weeks poll of the week we want to know…
Do You Check Sources?
╭─━━━━━━━━━━━━━━─╮
》Personal Thoughts 《
╰─━━━━━━━━━━━━━━─╯
It is a requirement on every community I agent that sources must be cited for both photos and any information presented as fact in blogs and wikis.
As far as checking every posts sources, it really depends on who wrote the post. If it’s a new member or a strange post we are more likely to check the sources. Whereas if it’s someone who has produced verifiable content on a regular basis, then not so much.

I don’t require sources/credit unless someone appears to be ing something off as their own, or I plan on featuring it. Then it’s required and checked
I run a cooking and baking community… most photos look very much taken by a quick iPhone snap of food, not really professional. Anyone who is professional has a lot of experience in the community or shows work from other sources themselves. It’s not really needed where we are on a regular basis.
I run a roleplay and writing communjty, so sources are rarely needed for anything. However, I will sometimes run a ChatGPT and plagiarism check on writing that seems suspicious.
No
No sourcing required, but blogs checked on factual correctness
