Hello to whoever may be reading this! I present to thee, my editors application! This is a team that I have always wanted to , but i’ll explain why later on. Let’s get right into it!!

My name is Shannon and i’m currently 16, but i’ll be 17 in early August!

Some facts about me are that I love the ocean. I’m going to school year round to hopefully get my bachelors degree in marine science with a concentration in oceanography 2 years early (before I turn 20)

My day consists of me waking up to take care of my fish, working on my drafts, and do some science labs from home along with other school work.

I’m in leadership positions in two acting troupes on top of being dual enrolled in highschool and college.

If I am ionate about something, I am IONATE about it, and will give 110% effort.

Global Warming’s Effects On The Ocean

I believe that this is a feature worthy post for a few reasons

It’s informative

I included definitions, evidence, causes, effects, what you can do, and sources into my post

I am very ionate about saving the ocean so I made a post to inform people of what global warming really is and what’s happening to not only our oceans, but the world in general. I then included things people can do to help!

How To Invite Friends To This Amino

I believe that this is a very practical, relatable, and useful post.

I made it to help people invite their friends to the community, especially if they’re a little nervous.

I think people could benefit from the ideas in my post, or use/share my post in general, because it can be awkward sometimes trying to explain this community to someone. “Gay app” doesn’t always sound great. Sometimes I go with “LGBT+ Instagram” so that they can relate it to something they already know

You Can’t Just Ask Me That

This post can be potentially triggering so I won’t go into to much detail

I made it as a mixture of a rant, and a mixture of “this topic NEEDS to be talked about” blog.

I made it talking about something disgusting that people (LGBT+ and non LGBT+) are doing to other LGBT+ individual. I wanted to bring the topic to people’s attention as well as share my opinion in a respectful way

There are several things that can make a post feature worthy

•It’s informative or personal

•Time and effort was put into the post

•It is not highly triggering/ if there is a potential trigger, a warning was added

I believe that’s pretty much all. If you scroll through the recent posts, most don’t have time and effort put into them, it’s almost like a tweet.

People that took the time to find aesthetics, themes, edit photos, edit the text they are adding, along with putting in the effort to teach people or be vulnerable should be praised by having their posts featured.

Im going to write this in a way that’s intriguing

Theres so many reasons why I want to !! Where do I ever start?

I truly think that being apart of this team will allow me to strengthen my editing, writing, and creativity skills, along with allowing me to work in a team of people!

I’ve always looked up to the editors, they are such talented people and you never see them bragging even though their aesthetics are always perfect! They are an amazing group of people and I want to be apart of that!

Every since I found out what all the teams on this amino were, the editors team was one that i’ve been wanting to ! It just seemed like a team for me, while I didn’t really feel like I could excel in the others

Oooooo I want to help with challenge posts! Challenges are so fun and I would be so honored to be part of the team that gets to make them!!

I really just want to be apart of everything that this alliance has to offer along with strengthening so many skills!

You catch one of your fellow editors plagiarizing, how do you approach this?

Plagiarizing is not ok. It’s disrespectful to the original writer/artist/owner. If my fellow editor was online after the noticed the issue, I would message them and perhaps it was a mistake. They accidentally forgot a “” or didn’t add their source. Maybe a gentle reminder is all they needed.

If i’m not able to get in touch with them, I would go to the teams curator or leaders. Plagiarism is not acceptable, but if the author of the post was online to quickly fix the mistake before to many people see it, that is one thing.

If i’m not able to get a hold of them, I will have to hand the situation over to someone who can do more about it (Leader/Curator).

An argument gets heated in the comment section of your post, how would you handle it?

If it is a respectful informative debate, that is one thing. Debates are a part of life and if the two (or more) people are sharing their opinions in a respectful manner, I will allow it. I can use it to inform myself of a side I didn’t know existed or better my knowledge on others views.

If it a disrespectful argument that is inappropriate and immature, I would take screenshots of everything that was said, delete the comments, and report the photos and the profiles to a leader or curator.

I myself would never be apart of the argument, if I greatly disagree with someone I will PM them and explain my side/feelings/reasons in a respectful manner.

I respect everyone’s opinions, unless they are disrespectful towards me or others.

One of the posts you’ve made is being called triggering or offensive, what do you do?

My opinion is not everyone’s opinion, I expect people to disagree with what I have to say.

If my post is called triggering and I do not have a warning on it, I will add one. I will also PM the person who called my post triggering or offensive to try to understand why they see it that way.

If it is far more triggering and offensive that I previously thought, I will remove the post.

If I am able to add warnings to the post/be respectful about my opinion and have that be enough, I will leave it up.

There is a troll in the comment section of one of your posts, what do you do?

Trolling is not funny and I will not allow it on my posts. I would screenshot photos of what they said and then delete the messages. After this I would report them to a leader. If I am not able to get a hold of a leader and the troll continues, I will block their .

Someone gives you notes on what you need to improve on your post that you don’t agree with, how would you approach the situation?

A note it a note, it does not matter if I agree or not. I should be appreciative that someone took the time to give me advise. If it is respectful that is.

If it is a rude and disrespectful comment judging or ridiculing what I have posted, I will disregard it. Depending on how disrespectful it was, I may report it to a leader.

Even if I don’t agree with it, I should still try to see it from their point of view as the reader. The person did not have to read my post nor give me constructive criticism, and even if I disagree with the notes, I will thank them.
