Spooktober Day 2- “The thirst and the sight”

Hello, I’m Chrisis and today I drew the second day of the Spooktober challenge. And since we’re in an LGBT+ community, I decided to make the vampire a female as well as the victim.

I wanted the situation to be the vampire sucking the human’s blood in pitch black, but then It’s no better than just filling the layer with black bucket, so I tried to make a flashlight to lighter up their faces.

you went through.”

Well, to be fair, I did the original sketch, while being on a train. It was quite messy, but the result was decent so I kept it in my archives for a while.

After I got home, I digitalised the sketch.

An hour later, I was done with the line art. In case someone is curious which brush i used, I’ll put it in the comments :)

And finally, I added the wings and coloured the drawing. Considering, I’m still new to digital drawing, I think it turned out great. :)

“Why did you choose it for the

theme”

Mostly because it’s the second day of October and this is the task. Also, perhaps this pose is one of the famous ones when it comes to vampires.

“What materials did you use?”

I used paint tool SAI, and a graphic tablet (I will add my brush in comments as I said). I also used a pen and a notebook to do the original sketch.

”How long did it take you”

if we count the original sketch, then maybe around 12 hours, but if we exclude it, maybe around 2 hours. I’m used to drawing portraits.
