A piece of fiction...Nothing more.

Okay, so most lilely the supernatural things and the time gaps between the writing-downs of the evangeliums and probably other stories.
Both understandable objections. To the first there's definitely faith what it takes. To the second: the evangeliums were in fact written later, the first one 70 years after Jesus death (i think). As far as I know, they are still more reliable than other scriptures from that time. And not only the bible speaks of the things that happened. There are also other sources which speak of someone walking around and preaching (in fact also non-christian sources)... But well thats too much to dicuss in a comment i think ^^
Btw I'm not offended by your or others opinions. I'm just trying to create some kind of open, peacefull and unjudging discussion/space to talk 🙃

I used to be heavy into religion til I was 21. I stopped believing when I seen children & people suffering around the world & "God" does nothing!?
I still believe there is a force but, it's in every one of us to act in good faith towards one another not, some "eye in the sky".

Ah, okay... I see your point.
[Sorry if my personal opinion offends you in any shape way or form]
It just makes me think of a book that spreads religion. But unfortunately people aren't smart enough to figure out that it's not used for spreading hate :/
(This is coming from someone who isn't christian btw)
The book itself doesn't bother me. It's what people make out of it. How they change it.
a book which is highly misused to justify unnecessary hate
Questions I have for christians:
.
Do you live for heaven?
Do you wait for marriage for etc?
Is friends with benefits against christian rules?
Do you eat pork?
Do you believe Jesus actually is a real story, along with other stories found in the bible?
Do you make up your own rules for what christianity is, saying that past events (homophobia, residential schools, etc) aren't "real" christianity?
Would you be offended if I didn't capitalize the word "God"?
Is saying "oh my god", "jesus christ", or curse words in general offensive?
Does getting baptized do anything?
I just saw that I forgot the marriage and sex-thing.
I do believe that sex is a really intimate thing. With it we share the most personal intimacy there is. I don't want to share that with anyone, unless I know a longtime relationship could really work and I actually, really deeply love the person. Otherwise I kinda feel like I'm throwing parts of me away..
