Introduction
╚═══════ღ══♡══╝
This Month's prompt was a hard one as I wasn't quite sure what I should do for it or what exactly I could do to represent Courage and Strength, and then it hit me! "Why don't I experiment with Tiny hawks!" So, I'm hoping you enjoy the concept as much as I do!!

Sometimes all you have to do is spread your wings, Fall and hope for the best.

Courage is something everyone has. Courage is the meaning of having the ability to do something that frightens oneself. However, Not everyone has the ability to face courage until the time calls for it.
Red wings stretched wide as little feet grounded themselves on the balcony railing. The ash-blonde looked to the scenery below him, people walking by and minding their own business. This wouldn’t be so bad if he fell, right? After all, he was only on the third floor and with his luck, he wouldn’t even fall, maybe… instead of failing like the other times, he’d be able to make his father proud. Bracing himself, the winged boy got ready to jump with the intention that, unlike last time, this time he would fly. However, he got scared, falling backwards with a small thud. Keigo looked back up at the railing, from down here, it seemed huge. “Keigo!” the four-year-old boy quickly picked himself off the ground, dusting himself off and holding his hands behind his back, yellow eyes looking up to his father when he came into the doorway. “What do you think you’re doing” Keigo’s father demanded. His tone wasn’t filled with worry, his expression didn’t indicate that he was concerned for his child’s safety. The only thing the father figure was concerned about was the disturbance Keigo had caused.
The small boy looked back behind him towards the railing he had just climbed upon, looking back to his father he seemed to cower a bit. “I thought.. That maybe this time I would be successful” Keigo explained, shifting on his feet as he avoided eye . His father gave a scoff. “How stupid can you be” His father didn’t say much more before leaving the apartment. Leaving Keigo alone in the small space.
Keigo was used to being alone like this. His father left for “work” and tended to not come back for a while leaving the boy to fend for himself. The boy knew his father wanted nothing to do with him and his mother didn’t either, but Keigo got the thought stuck in his head that if he learned to fly, maybe then his father would want something to do with him, Maybe he would notice him.
Keigo thought of himself as a bird. A bird was useless if it couldn’t use its wings and leave its nest. Sooner or later if it didn’t leave it would be kicked from the nest by its own mother and there was nothing it could do about it, but at the same time, a bird was free, with the use of its wings it could go anywhere it wanted whenever, Oh, How Keigo longed to be able to have the use of his wings. The boy pouted to himself, stomping his feet as he kept himself on the balcony. Maybe if his father wasn’t gone all the time he could ask him for help. The boy was frustrated and in a fit of frustration he started flailing his wings much like a flightless bird would when falling from its nest. He knew it wouldn’t get him anywhere but what more could he do? Whenever he climbed atop the railing he always got too scared and climbed down for his own safety. Marching back into the apartment, Keigo searched the place for anything useful, Books, boxes, crates, anything he could stack on top of each other until he was satisfied with a couple of inches he had.
Keigo took off the socks that were keeping his feet warm, tossing them aside so he wouldn’t slip when climbing his unstable tower. The frail boy climbed atop his makeshift tower, wobbling as he tried not to fall. As Keigo got himself balanced and was sure he wasn't going to tip over, the boy spread his wings and threw himself off the tower. Keigo didn't make it far. He didn't make it anywhere at all at that, instead falling right to the ground face first. He laid there for a moment, contemplating if he should stay down or try again.
Pushing himself off the carpeted floor of the apartment, Keigo rubbed his nose before standing up, Remaking his tower and climbing it again, and like before launching himself off the tower. Keigo kept going, Climbing, Launching, failing, rebuilding with no results, until, from some miracle, he didn't fall this time but instead glided his face into the carpet. While his face still ended up on the floor, he hadn't fallen. The blonde stood up, ecstatic, a Toothy grin with a tooth missing plastured on his face as he began jumping around, laughing as he did so. "I did it! I did it!" He cheered out to no one but himself, pure joy written on his face. Keigo knew that in this small space he would never be able to fly, but being able to glide was a start, right? If he failed to take flight he could just glide! With Keigo's knew found confidence, he shuffled quickly to the small balcony he had started on, the wind was light but it made the air chilly, despite this, he climbed atop the railing, any confidence he had vanished at the realization of the height. "Maybe.. this isn't a good idea.." Keigo doubted, sucking on the bottom of his lip, looking closely at the ground
Keigo wanted to give up, he had only just glided a few inches, it wasn't anything worth mentioning, but he thought that maybe he'd be ready. Maybe he wasn't.. but a bird doesn't Learn how to fly unless it falls from its nest. Red wings once again stretched wide across the horizon as courage built up in his mind. The boy let himself fall over the railing. Panicking quickly, Keigo realized he had no clue what he was doing. Frantically, the young boy started flapping his wings as his hands covered his eyes. A gust of wind catching his wings and it didn't feel as though he was falling anymore, his wings still flapping to keep him afloat. The blonde slowly but cautiously took his hands from his face, being met with.. a building. A small yelp left his mouth as he moved to the side, just barely missing the building. Looking around quickly, Keigo realized that, that he was flying! A series of laughs escaped his lips as he tried to navigate himself, he didn't care how sloppy it was, he did it! Just a few seconds ago he was scared, thinking of climbing down, yet, he did it!
Keigo finally knew what it was like to have the freedom of a bird.
