My Hero Ultra Rumble Concepts #14-Midnight

-Overview-

-Nemuri Kayama, also known as the R-Rated Hero: Midnight was a very playful and flirtatious person with an unpredictably serious and temperamental side to her. She got angry whenever someone interrupted her or insulted her, and, when it came to insults, she was especially sensitive about her age.

-During the First Term Final Exams, Nemuri itted to Minoru Mineta that she has a sadistic side and enjoys dominating others. She can be impressed with those who resort to genius plans, as Minoru amazed her using tactical thinking to defeat her by luring her out and leaving her trapped in place before ing the gate.

-Gameplay Overview-

-Midnight is a rather simple yet effective Strike type of character, making use of her quirk and equipment to provide an ittedly very dominant force on the battlefield that isn’t able to be ignored when taking the hero head on.

-Midnight’s abilities appear simple in the surface to lure her opponents into a false sense of security, having them think that she can be easily taken down. However her Special Action, and Gamma ability gives a method of retaliation, as they can give her the advantage if you don’t be careful.

-Gameplay Abilities-

-Midnight’s Basic Attacks-

(By pressing the basic attack button, Midnight will perform a swipe with her whip from right to left, then another from left to right, before finishing with a strong kick to launch the opponent away.)

-Midnight’s Alpha Ability-“Whips of Love”

(By pressing the Alpha ability button, Midnight will use her whips to perform a ranged strike with them. The furthest the strike goes is up to half the length of Izuku’s Blackwhip attack, and it even acts like a melee strike, so it can reflectors.)

-Midnight’s Beta Ability-“Fanning Swipe”

(By pressing the Beta ability button, Midnight pulls out her Feather Fan, and swings it in front of herself as a swiping strike that deals low damage and doesn’t knock opponents very far away. However, if the ability is used in or around the area of Midnight’s sleep aroma, then she can push it around a small distance each time.)

-Midnight’s Gamma Ability-“Dominant Dash”

(By pressing the Gamma ability button, Midnight dashes forward in an aimed direction allowing for a bit of movement. If she connects with an opponent during this dash, she will grab them, and forcefully put the opponent under influence of her sleep aroma before letting them go to finish the battle, even leaving them wide open for other attacks.)

-Midnight’s Special Action-“Somnambulist”

(When pressing the special action button, Midnight uses her quirk to produce to sleep-inducing aroma around herself. The area of the aroma causes opponents that walk into it, or by it ing over them in any way, to fall asleep for a few seconds, leaving them completely vulnerable for that set amount of time. The area of the aroma stays out for a total of 10 seconds and can be moved around by her Beta Ability, but it is half the size of Denki’s Electricity Field.)

-Design Philosophy: Midnight-

(The way that I made this concept is I wanted this character to be yet another character that fits into a play-style befitting of her personality. One thing that she demands a lot, including within her abilities in MHUR, is dominance, itting that she does have a more sadistic side to herself. This leads to her main tool, and her Special Action, allowing her to control whether an opponent can risk falling asleep and being wide open for attacks, or playing it safe by finding an escape or playing long range.)

(Her attacks are rather fitting of her personality too. Her Alpha is a simple strike with her whip, and yet it acts as a ranged melee attack, leaving to those with reflectors or being able to reflect projectiles to be surprised when they are hit with damage. This also leads to her other abilities leaning towards providing a slight , in the sense that they do little on their own and require an ally, or her main tool, to be used effectively or else she can be worked around and defeated.)
