Ryoben redesign (TW: Heavy stuff and things ya)

Since you guys liked my Reiketsu redesign, I thought to redesign other characters I didn't really feel proud of. In case you're unfamiliar, Ryoben is Shu's biological father.

I changed almost everything about his original design. I learned more into the fact he's an anglerfish, which would help further justify shu's quirk and her sibling's as well. Such as change his skin color to be more murky and almost black. I also got rid of his blonde hair, because at the time he was blonde to justify two of 3 of his children's hair. But instead I just gave him those little fin hair thingy idk you see it there.

Ryoben served in the Japanese army and under the HPSC, he was considered the best of the best for his agility and sneak attacks, having many victories under his name. Later becoming a general. His presence was intimidating and fearsome, and his gaze could make a heart sink. His experience made him a rather serious and responsible leader of his family.

Shu and Ryoben used to fight and bicker all the time. It was more over of Shu's rather violent and aggressive attitude. At some point Ryoben had attempted to perform military training on Shu, likely for her later involvement in the HPSC. Which consisted of heavy physical conditioning and exposure therapy to attempt to tame her anger. However, the rigorous and brutal training only made it worse, causing rage filled and violent mental snaps. Often attacking Ryoben multiple times

The scars on Ryoben's body is actually inflicted by Shu after a mental snap. However, Ryoben never seemed to mind it. Never really showed any pain or anger for it. He was the type to wear scars like badges and never really went through the trouble to get rid of them. Especially Shu's. For whatever reason. He'd often lie about getting them in the war when in reality, Shu attacked him after being provoked to.

Ryoben is shown to be a headstrong and honorable person. But ornery and inexorable. He was the type to never back down from an argument until his point has been proven and accepted as the correct one. His emotional suppression alongside his own high expectations leaves him short tempered and cold. Even if he had no ill intent behind it.

His cold heart was broken down by his now divorced wife Azalea. A foreigner. Her kindness and comion melted his cold heart and the two were arranged for marriage at 15. Having 7 children together. However, after his first daughter and son ed, he quickly returned to his original state. Filled with sorrowful rage and resentment. And shortly after Shu turned 4, he and Azalea divorced, taking 4 out of 5 remaining children.

Ryoben had a debt to pay to the HPSC. And he promised his final born child to the HPSC. Which is why he only kept Shu after his divorce and was so keen on training her, despite her hostile and violent rejection to it. It's obvious he cared about Shu in his own twisted way. As he always attempted to try and make Shu stronger to attack the world head on, despite his failure.

Ryoben ed away saving Shu's life. In a crossfire attack during the final war (the end of the original timeline of MHA) Shu was caught in crossfire trying to get to safety while Ryoben attempted to the fight. However she was im//led on a spike. Which ripped her heart out. In a last ditch effort to save his daughter, Ryoben used a part of his quirk to fuse with Shu's body. Replacing the parts she was missing, such as her heart and broken internal systems. Though he ed in the process.
