Sotan || Phantomous || Template

I started by making a goth/emo based on Nejire (flight + energy blasts) but then decided to add his “Goth/Emo” into being part of his quirk.

A young man who has little familial connection as he has never been able to emotionally connect with anyone since he was 4 years old. Since Sotan’s family and he were distant, Sotan had very little to do when not in school so he ed the time the only way he could, through studying. As a result of his emotional distance.

With the manifestation of his Quirk, Sotan became more and more emotionally distant, by no choice of his. Sotan quickly discovered his quirk bottled up his emotions as fuel, leaving him as an almost unfeeling husk. Sotans condition left him with no friends, a strained connection with his parents and with him not caring an ounce. After some years of Sotan watching other kids with their parents, he began to wonder if other children had quirks like his, and this thought made him want to be a hero so that he could show any of the kids like him, that it’s ok to struggle emotionally with people and that they weren’t alone.

While at UA, Sotan acts as the assistant rep for his class, being seen as the most rational thanks to his quirk. Nearly everyone trusts him and most are friends with him. Sotan believes that because of his classmates faith in him that he should do all he can to help his class, from acting as an ear to offering ideas of how to improve their own quirks.

Sotans Quirk is a mutation, not derived from either side of his family. On his father’s side, his family has a history of Earth based quirks such as: Dust, Terrain or Burial. On his mother’s side his family has a history of control quirks: Butterfly control, Caterpillar Summon, ect.

Spirits

His quirk Stores up his emotions as fuel which can be converted however Sotan decides. Sotans emotions can be used to fuel any of its three facets, 1) Shields, 2) Flight, 3) Blasts. Each facet of Spirits is boosted by a different emotion, so intense emotional build up of certain emotions can overwhelm Spirits and shine through for Sotan while increasing their power.

Shields

Sheilds is an ability that covers Sotan’s body in a thin energy felid 3 centimeters off his body. They adjust to always be 3 centimeters weather he’s shirtless, or in his hero outfit. Sotans shields aren’t very powerful but can protect him heat, cold and the physical force of being struck by a bus. Sotans sheilds a has a higher connection to the fear Sotan experiences. The more afraid Sotan becomes however, the stronger his sheilds, up to 230% power.

Flight

Sotan’s flight capability’s allow for him to fly at a max of 100 Kilometers per hour. He flys by releasing his stored up emotions from his body and covering himself in its near invisible mists. Flight is most connected to Sotans stored up joy and happiness. When experiencing overwhelming joy, Sotan’s flight speed can be boosted by up to 350%, putting him at a speed of 350 Kilometers per hour.

Blasts

Sotans blasts are silver and travel in a cone, meaning the front of each shot is at a point. These blasts can easily break metal when shot from his full hand, however if Sotan were to condense his shots and aim them from a single finger, the condensed shots can tear through rebar. The blasts are most connected to Sotans Anger, so when Sotan is overcome with rage, his blasts take on a red shade to match.

When his blasts have gone fully red, they’ll reach a power of 200%.
