Art Showcase - Part I 🖌

It's been a minute since my last casual post and I'm finally done with the semester. I have a lot that I'm gonna share so hang tight and enjoy the ride!

So this is going to be a two part post! It'll consistent of what I did during photoshop and the other my drawing class. This post will start off with the Drawing I class!

I have a couple of really good drawings that I produced that I'm super excited to share. I will warn you that there isn't much to share. Most of the class was spent doing tasks that I already knew how to do so I didn't "learn" much if that makes sense. I was able to refine my skills so I guess that's a plus lol. Hopefully this will inspire you all to go out of your boundaries and try something knew. Anyway let's get to it!

First drawing of the class was of a still life to basically gauge what it was that we knew and overall skill level. I wish I had a picture of what we put together because it was a hot mess and kinda creepy lol.

Weeks in when I realized how much I couldn't stand my professor, they threw this into the display cabinet after not acknowledging anyone's drawings. It was a limited value exercise and although I don't think it's all that great, it got put up for others to see.

This is one of the harder pieces I had to do. Reflective surfaces were not my forte and even the homework proved challenging. Granted I wasn't putting my all into it, I still feel like that's something I have to practice on.

We then finally got to something I was well versed at lol. Faces have always just been a strong suit of mine, but ever since I learned how to do mouths and noses on my own, I'm an unstoppable force.

Almost done *sighs* These two put me through some stress. The skull was a little annoying but pretty fun when I started getting more shading downpact. The other is a comparison drawing of a renaissance artist called Parmigianino, their piece "Head of a Young Man". This was also hard to start but when I was done I was praised for it heavily as one of my best pieces. I think it's pretty spot on considering all else.

Last but not least was our portrait projects for the final exam! We were partnered up and modelled/drew each other for peer review. I really loved doing this one because my classmate is so pretty and definitely deserved to be shown in all their glory. I'm glad I was able to capture their features to a T. I was also drawn but to save the embarrassment I won't show it here :skull: :skull:

This piece was also submitted by the professor into an art show, so hopefully my piece gets picked and shown off :relieved:
