Hi, I want to switch to a loose bedding for my rats and I was thinking of switching to hay, but I'm not sure which hay would be the most suitable, do you have any recommendations?

Thank you! I'll do that then, do you mind telling me which materials you use for your dig box?

I usually use a bit of everything!
Some kiln dried pine, some paper bedding for texture (carefresh or other brands) timothy hay, wheatgrass, shredded paper towels

I'm thinking about getting two rats and have a massive glass aquarium 7×23x24 or so is that a healthy size for them as I hear glass enclosures may not be the greatest

Wooden cages aren’t really recommended because they can hold urine and be chewed easily, mesh flooring is fine as long as it is covered with something. Here’s a good cage in the same price area as the one you sent https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwintI6Mjb_4AhVhGH0KHVt_CHgYABAPGgJwdg&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESauD2bz-drYL-NIe7b50s9WOw-ahWzYn3Y7gaqNBk9-g4BUpQ-F9bOTofnMysZLeSB6KNiwTVQ6OSP08-ix47-yd3ZgeIKaZHt_-eDvPbAHvj6AWtM9X2hn-GvVY0H9kN-hprFVMELSIjV68&sig=AOD64_34hJOfmtvCN4FC0ONUCg2YzQEN0A&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwj0q4GMjb_4AhVrD0QIHfoGApYQwg8oAHoECAEQCw&adurl=

I see thanks for the advice. Does this one have a covering or does it not use mesh hard for me to tell with my bad eye
How do I make sure my rat doesn't get bullied during intros? Whenever I tried to introduce other rats to my boy they always ended up trying to bite him and such
Hi! Try introducing them in neutral territory like a bath tub or free roam area, a little squabbling is normal and attempting to hump him is expected but biting and deliberate attacking can point to too fast of an intro (typically takes around 4-5 intros, and 2 pre intros first one being cage to cage, second one being removing an article from each of their cages and putting it in the others cage to get them familiar with smell.
Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food?
