Wow look at all these small animal books!

Today at my school is shadow day. If you don't know, shadow day is for middle schoolers (in my county) and it's an opportunity for students to explore careers for a whole day. It's an excused absence from school if you fill out a questionnaire about the person you shadowed.

For example, I decided to shadow my local vet who does cats, dogs, and occasionally rabbits, too! So basically I watched her throught the day and asked questions about the job like income, hours, salary, benefits, promotions, ect.

It's a really good way to experience new work fields to have a real life experience of a career you want to do in the future and I really liked it!

Now look at all these books the vet has in her office! She has tons of small animal, feline, and canine books. Goes to show how educated vets really have to be! and she also told me that if I were to be a Exotic Vet, it would pay pretty good since there's not many of those! (Exotic vets also do rabbits)
