Just another Night 2

The Laboratory currently was only half lit up, some machines were still running in the background and humming softly, a faint beeping could be heard too. It was rather cold in here, the air smelled of antiseptic, almost in a sickening way, though she was used to that. On the back of the laboratory, is a massive observation window, next to it are two big screens, constantly showing stats and updating, permanently running and showing the status of the project. With a noteable clack sound, the remaining lights buzzed to life, lighting up the laboratory fully as the remaining machines started. She shortly looked around, as she lets out a soft sighs, walking over to the main workstation. On the wall near it was a massive Laboratory Refrigerator, where she stored her main samples and work, properly sealed and only accessible with the right key cards and a scan. The whole Laboratory was in white colors and a light grey, the white neon light only made it seem more cold, a unwelcoming area as many would say. After she reached the main workstation, she would sit down and log herself into the system, setting the file down next to her keyboard, humming softly as she would read over the last report from the a field testing. A faint metallic clang would echo through through the room, catching her attention as she looked up and around the room, inspecting it though after noting that nothing has changed, probably one of her fellow Staff which had dropped something in the hallway. She went back to reading, her eyebrow raising as she stopped and went back a page, before reading again. The field test went as expected, the Subject had taken controll of the situation, yet something felt wrong, it seemed like something was missing within the report. Two of her Staff were reported missing during the mission, yet it wasn't known what had happened to them, no one had seen anything and the Subject was fully supervised the whole time. With a soft grumbled she got up and paced over to the observation window as she grabbed the mug with her by now cold coffee, taking a sip from it as she looked at the two big screens displaying the vital data. How many anomaly's within the Subjects tests has it been now? For one the Subjects heart never stopped beating, which had been written off, as it made the Subject even better, though.. it was never figured what made the change, reusing the same strain, had resulted in the usual death of the other Subjects, turning them into the usual mindless versions, other traits then one infected by a normal Strain. They were fully compliant and followed every command, they had been trained before by the Security Services and went through various Tests to ensure they're absolute loyalty under the guidance of another Scientific Staff, before the Subject was handed over to her. Maybe they had something to do with it, it wouldn't surprise her if the Subject has been tested on before, she would've further looked into it, though her last attempts to figure about the other Staff member had been blocked.
