I am not replacing anyone and will get back to my other partners momentarily. Finals just finished today and the show Hollywood is what kept me sane with killing a 17 page paper amongst tests. I felt inspired after rewatching for the fifth time and decided to make my own oc and plot and wanted to send off before i went to bed after a long day of traveling.

☆ Inspired by ☆

Heavily inspired by the netflix series hollywood. truly one of their hidden gems. This is a post world war II america whereas much as there is oppression and segregation there is a bit more openness for diversity at the time. Though it was very limited and far in between.

☆ Background ☆

Late 1940s Hollywood, Ca. World War II had come to an end and America as they knew it was healing. Men who left as boys coming home to their families- pursuing their dreams. It also meant in influx of movers out west to the starlit city of Hollywood. Most wanting to be in the pictures while others desired to be behind the scenes. It was an era of pushing for dreams to come true.

Evelyn only biologically had a leg up on the others under contract at Ace Studio. It’s not like anyone knew she was the Evelyn wood daughter of Richard wood, head of Ace studio. Most knew her as Lillian Washington on the grounds- though her name mixed into the number of other actors on contract waiting for their big break. unlike them however she didn’t have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet.

☆ Plot Ideas ☆

For gxg I think I’d love to have the two women go up against one another for the lead role of a movie. The other getting the role of the second lead, best friend. What starts out as annoyance (especially if Evelyn is the one to be casted as the second lead) over time though that can change with them having to run lines, act scenes, and hang out outside of set. of course with added personal touches that we can discuss in chat

For gxb I have two rough ideas. The first being your oc makes his way into being an actor and in the movie as the love interest however. There could be a bit of a scandal especially as the two start to be seen outside of the studio together.

The other involves more of a betrayal tactic of getting in close with evelyn and either have found out by someone or on your own that she’s the daughter of the head. Use the relationship to pull leverage for a movie and have that start to unravel. this can also be used for gxg as well.
