:baby: Keeping up with the Brokes :baby:

First episode of a new random serie, I call it "Keeping up with Pleasantview"! Not much drama with the Brokes but hang around, the next families will have plenty! *looking at the Goths and Pleasants*

It's a rotational style gameplay like in the Sims 2. So what you see in one rotation through different families is technically happening all at the same time!

The rotation for Round 1 is: Broke>Dreamer>Pleasant>Goth>Caliente>Burb>Oldie. All the families have been played already!

~The Broke Family ~

Brandi Broke, 29 years old, stay-at-home mom and widow, pregnant

Dustin Broke, 14 years old, high school student and part time criminal

Beau Broke, 3 years old, toddler

Ever since her husband ed away, Brandi Broke has felt lost. Granted, it's barely been a month, and she knows she should get back up for her children, but she feels beaten.

She's 29 years old with a 14 year old son, Dustin, who's fallen with the wrong crowd - and what's worse is that whatever he can gain from that is the only money she and her other son, 3 year old Beau, can count on.

She's had to marry young, and she barely graduated high school, so there's not much work for someone like her (not that she could afford a babysitter anyway).

To make things worse, she's recently found out that she's pregnant once again.

In the past she would have been happy, she and Skip weren't the richest but they had always made it work, but now she's sure they can't afford this baby. Still, she can't just get rid of this last gift that her late husband has left her.

Although little Beau, bless his heart, is happy to be a big brother, Dustin is not excited at all.

He seems to only care about that girlfriend of his, that boy. Of course she knows she was the same at his age, but she didn't have as tough a situation as he does, so she wishes he'd help her more. Instead all she hears from him is Angela this, Angela that.

She doesn't like that girl. She thinks she's no clue what responsibility is.

Brandi likes to spend time with Beau, but mostly because he's such a carbon copy of his father that she can't help seeing him. It sort of soothes her.

When she eventually goes in labor, Brandi has so little money that she's forced to borrow a crib from Simcity Social Services. She knows this will get them on her back, but there's not much she can do.

She has yet another son and names him Skip Junior, after her late husband. He never really wanted a Junior as a son, but she likes the thought of honoring him in that way and he's not longer there to nag her about how corny naming a son after his father is

Junior is, ironically, the only one of her babies who didn't inherit Skip's blonde hair. Rather, he looks much like her. But it's thanks to him, mostly, that she slowly starts to feel better.

Beau seems to really love being a big brother, too. Brandi feels blessed to have had such a sweet baby after what she went through with Dustin

She meets Darren while grocery shopping not long after Junior's second birthday. He's also a widower, though his wife died several years before Skip, back when she was pregnant with Beau. Darleen's death in their old house's fire had been the talk of the town for many weeks back then.

Darren is a charming man and she definitely likes him. He doesn't pressure her to do anything she doesn't want, but this only serves to make her want him more. They try to mainly see each other when the children are not around.

Their monetary situation begins to improve, partly because Darren helps out with groceries, but mostly because Dustin has taken on the more lucrative side job of robbing houses. Brandi knows she should not let him do it, but it's the only way they have to eat.

As the children grow, so do the conflicts. Once the little one in the house, Beau is not excited to share the attention of Brandi with Junior and everything seems like such a big deal to a boy as young as him.

Dustin, instead, finally graduates and finds himself a real job - although Brandi doesn't know what it is exactly, she knows it gets them a steady income and that's enough.

After a few... "risky" encounters, so to speak, Brandi finds herself pregnant once again, this time with Darren's baby.

She's nervous about telling him, but to her surprise he's actually very happy to be a dad once again.

He surprises her with a marriage proposal not long after. She's absolutely ecstatic about the prospect of a new life with him and says yes almost immediately!

Later in the year, she gives birth to her fourth baby - yet another son, this time named Gabriel.

His arrival greatly upsets five years old Junior, who seems to think there's more than enough Broke kids around already.

Brandi, however, is extremely happy. She feels like her life is just beginning again
