#BossBattle Girantina

I don't know if you guys know this, but I love Pokemon

OH REALLY? WE COULDN'T TELL!

And this has been on my mind for a bit now. There are 3 legendary Pokemon I adore. Those being

Latios

Manaphy

And Girantina

And I felt Girantina was the best to fit this roll. So let's take a look at how he would stand in a boss fight

Setting and plot relation

So you're walking through someplace when SUDDENLY

One of Tabuu's most loyal minions suddenly appears, looking to reform the sunspace army! He traps the characters you'll play as (more on that soon) and you fall into the distortion world!

After a level in the distortion world, you get to the end and meet Girantina!

Girantina challange the characters to a battle, and I'd they win, they get to leave!

Looking at how I laid this out, it would probably be around the 2-3rd boss in the game.

Playable characters

For this, I chose 3 characters:

First off, Lucario!

Why Lucario?

The reason I chose Lucario is because he is

A. A Pokemon as well and

B. He debuted in the same game as Girantina. Also, I know on their first play through of D/P/P, many people used Lucario on their team, seeing as he's an extremely popular Pokemon. So this could be giving some people a nice nostalgic feeling.

The next character I chose is...

Dark pit!

Why did I choose Dark pit? Why not Pit?

I know Dark pit is a villain or anti hero, but you get to play as villains/anti hero's in the original (meta knight and Bowser). So, I chose dark pit because of where he originated from: Pandora's maze. I haven't played Kid Icarus uprising myself, but I have seen chuggaaconroy and my little sister play it, so I know a little what I'm talking about. To me, Pandora's maze and the distortion world seem kinda similar, being their both hid off from the world and are both treacherous mazes. So Edgy Pit'll feel right at home here!

Corrin!

Oh whatever guys it just makes sense to me kinda (coming from a guy who's never played an FE game in his life)

Why Corrin you weeb?

No offence to Corrin mains this wasn't a jab at you Corrin seems like a cool character.

Anyways, Corrin is a dragon, so I thought it'd be pretty cool to have a dragon on dragon battle! That's actually it. There's no other reason.

The actual battle

Now it's time for the battle itself!

First off, the music. Obviously, the music playing would be Girantina's battle theme, probably a remix though, knowing smash bros.

Did I mention how much this theme kicks ass?

Anyways, now for the battle field itself.

The field you battle on would be various platforms in the distortion world. They would look something like this:

Art isn't my strong point

So that's how the battlefield would look maybe and that's the music. Now the the most important part

Girantina himself

DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY GENDER IN 2017?!? I'M QUITE FRANKLY, OFFENDED!

So for those of you who play Pokemon, you'll know that Girantina, even in origin form, is pretty bulky. So I've decided that the amount of damage he can take will be 1300%-2000% (based on what you guys think). I need to make his attacks have good kill power because we have Lucario here. And when you don't have much kill power against Lucario, well.....

Attacks

Now it's time for Pokemon satans hellish attacks!

Dragon pulse

This one's pretty standard. Girantina quickly charges a massive dragon pulse and releases it on one of the 3 levels of the stage (top, middle or bottom).

Shadow force

I don't like phantom force it's just a knockoff shadow force. Anyways, think of it like greninja's shadow sneak. Girantina hides inside the stage (but there's a shadow circle showing where he is, like shadow sneak), and burst open after a few seconds! His burst range would cover the entire vertical range he jumps out in.

Tentacle stabs.

Girantina has the weird tentacle things on his body right? So he uses these things to quickly jab at your character. He does this about 3-7 times depending on how much health he has left. Tip had a sweetspot

Shadow claw

Girantina sure likes his tentacles, because this time he's using them to slash at you! Girantina slashes twice (or 3 times at low HP) on one of the stage halves. He could go on the same side multiple times.

Ram

This one's pretty generic. Girantina quickly dashes at the bottom of the stage, so you have to react quickly, as it's charge time is low!

Wind blast

This one is actually a windbox, with a hitbox at the top of the attack. Like he would when you summon him with a poke ball, Girantina blast a massive gust of wind at you! You're going to need precise air dodges to get past this, as the top hurtboxes carry you like it would in normal smash

Plasma balls

Do not make a balls joke in the comments section.

Anyways, Girantina fires multiple plasma balls at you, and they come back too! Think of it like master edges balls

And finally

Earth power!

Girantina summons multiple spikes on the stage, each still hurting 1-2 seconds after appearing. Girantina summons around 5 at good health, 6 at medium health and 8 at low health. The red tip is a sweetspot and the base is a sourspot.

And when you deadest him, the characters are granted an exit to the distortion world!
