[●Bringing Up Bowser●] Modernization Sequel Blog

I thought of this idea in the car ride from Red Robins. My thought process is weird

Salutations, SBA! Dedede Main the Bootleg Tempo here! Wondering why I'm bothering with introductions like this when the thumbnail and title spoil the blog entirely. But who cares!? Not me! Here at Tempo Inc. Our motto is "Entertain so likes we can gain!"

For real though, you've read the title by now. This blog is sort of a sequel to my previous blog, Mario Modernization, where I discussed changes that could be made to Mario that used material from Mario+Rabbids and Odyssey. I will be doing this yet again since Bowser doesn't appear in any other Switch titles. (As far as I know...)

You guys ready? IT'S SHOWTIME!!!!

[●○●Super Mario Odyssey●○●]

I dunno who Bowser's tailor is but GOLLY he fixes up good. Same idea as Mario, a lot can be taken from Odyssey as source material for several different things. Moves, Alts, who knows with Nintendo! These are just a few ideas that I'm putting on the table.

[~Boxing Glove Top Hat~]

Video Game Boss Tip #43 If the hero obtains a special power, the villain must receive a power of similar function and vice verca. Mario gets a fancy throwing hat, so of course Bowser s in on the fun! (Even though Bowser technically had it first.) And also similar to Mario, this would be a fitting move to replace Side-B. However, instead of returning to Bowser on , it would stay in place for a second and hit multiple times. It'd travel slower, but do more damage then Cappy.

[New Taunt]

A fitting new taunt that would involve Bowser's hat would likely replace his Up-Taunt. Bowser would turn away from his opponent and give them a quick wave of the top hat in a similar FASHION to how he did in a few cut scenes. He would then put it back on his head and return to fighting stance.

[~Bowser's Tuxedo~]

I wouldn't go as far as to say this should be his new design in Smash, but it should at least be an alternative costume. Cmon, if we can have Wire-frame Mac then we can put Bowser in a tuxedo, dang it!! Similar to Wario with his biker gear and overalls, Bowser could have different alts for both his normal look and his tuxedo.

So I had a bit less to talk about for Odyssey this time around. Because other than the new get-up and hat, Bowser didn't bring anything new to the table that I could think of putting in Sma5h. Which doesn't make sense, because he brought less in the next game I'm talking about, but I managed to write more for it. Don't ask me how!!

[●○●Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle●○●]

SPOILERS!! If you don't already know by now, that is...

Lemme just say this is probably my favorite Bowser design throughout the series. The King of the Koopas only makes one grand appearance in this game. Merged with the great dragon, Bowser realizes his role of "The Ultimate Boss" and becomes MEGADRAGONBOWSER! And, yes, you can probably see where this is going...

[~Final Smash~]

Let's be honest here, Giga Bowser has been done to the bone. So much it's become Giga Dry Bowser! Anyways, Bowser's newest transformation would make a great replacement for Giga Bowser, in my opinion. However, it IS a transformation final smash. So how do we spice things up for the fearsome fire breather?

[Appearance]

First off, we'll be reducing Bowser's size to make room for those big ol' flying flappers of his. I'd say about as big as he gets after obtaining a mushroom, so only partially smaller than Giga Bowser.

[Flight]

Yeah, these wings ain't just for show, yknow! MDB's flight would probably work in a similar manner to Yoshi or Diddy Kong's. Move the joystick and be ready for takeoff, I suppose! He'd fly about the same speed as Yoshi, if not a little faster.

[Attributes]

MDB will be similar to Giga Bowser having both increased damage, defense, and super armour. Reduced size will be evened out with partially increased speed and frame data. Normal moves like jabs, smash attacks, and tilts will remain the same as normal Bowser, but I've got a few tweeks for his special moves.

[Specials]

Up-B: Whirling Fortress will remain the same, but with decreased speed and knock back to mimic how he did it in game. He was also invincible during this move, but let's not get carried away here.

Neutral-B: Bowser's fire breath will gain massive reach and can be used longer than normal. This can be used in flight similar to Yoshi's final smash.

Down-B: Will also remain fairly similar, except on the way up, Bowser would spread his wings horizontally, acting as large, rising hitboxes.

Side-B: Bowser has his famous grab move returned to him. But instead of ri and then slamming the foe downward, he would do a loopdeloop and then slam the opponent into the ground head first.

I feel like I need to work on these outros a bit more. Ah well, I'll improve at blog writing someday. So those were my ideas for updating Bowser for Sma5h. Agree? Disagree?
