Yo amino it's the flavorless jose here and I'm back to talk about our comp scene!
It's definitely there and we have tournaments often, but we often have a ton if complications. We aren't perfect, but we're looking for help from some very prominent people in the community to give their wisdom about competition to us so we can build a stronger scene here!
Goals of the Comp Committee

Basically, the comp committee's goals are to educate the community more about why we use certain rulesets, bracketology, how to run a tournament, how to use Smash.gg/challonge, how to TO and organize a tournament, and much more.
To accomplish these goals, of the comp committee are expected to collaborate and work together with each other to help educate and inform this smash community through posts that can be pushed to the featured page when applicable. This way, people can know more about rules and how things work before entering their next tournament.
You may also be working closely with the UAR team as well! That should be exciting too :) If you , you will receive a title that says "Comp Committee."

As a side note, as a comp committee member you are expected to know how to TO even decently well. You will be expected to help TO tournaments often as well, naturally. As part of the committee, you're trying to improve the competitive scene as best as you can so it makes sense.
If you're interested, please say so in the comments! Also please say if you've previously TO'd a tournament, and tell us which tournament it was.
Thanks for your time!
Jose~

I'm available, not this week though, absolutely next week I can participate
As for TOing I have participated in many tournaments myself and formally ran a wifi weekly back in smash 4 called He She Me Wumbo
Sounds good!
If I had the time (and connection lol) to host I would.
I'll help if I'm needed, specifically with seeding
If I meet the requirements then maybe
I’m up for it, haven’t TOd before but I kinda get the process
