I've been using the character Roy lately in Smash 4 and people have mixed feelings about facing him. Ive heard hes cheap, he's not that good, then there are those that just utterly despise him which is pretty funny to me hehe. SO! In your own experience how hated are Roy mains really in the smash community?

Roy is a good character, I prefer marth, but I still play Roy and he's able to take on good characters
I personally think Lucina is more reliable than Marth but I respect anyone that can play him cause that takes some damn skill I tell you. I can't use Marth worth crap.

People seem to love Roy, as I do. If you think roy is cheap, what does that make Marth?
Yeah I haven't heard about any hate with for him. He's a beast up close, but even tho he has a sword, if you keep him out you'll be okay
What's with the sudden spark of hating non-top tiers now? First the Kirby hater quiz, then the Lucas hater chat, now a Roy hater post?
Just trying to find out for myself why everyone hates Roy after or before I use him.

He is by no means a cheap character. If they say that they just suck. Not that he's bad, but he isn't cheap.
If you miss almost anything with Roy you can get punished, and his recovery is incredibly exploitable.
