Custom air dodge
Well this is a kinda simple but also cool idea for smash similarly to smash crusade now the idea in this is to have four types if air dodges; Melee, sm4sh, smash crusade, and a air sheild similar to brawlhalla.
Now each of these air dodges are different so let's go over them
Melee: melee air dodge can be used once in the air and cancels all momentum but you also can wavedash so YAY!
Sm4sh: you know that one in smash 4 you can spam!
Crusade: crusade you get a one time use one but it does not make you invincible instead it just sends you flying in the direction you're facing. Also can be used once...
Brawlhalla: brawlhalla air dodge is a combination of crusade and melee. Basicly you are invincible and don't lose momentum but it comes at a cost. You can't wavedash and it has a good amount of landing lag.
Now having these four options would vastly change the meta drasticly as being able to choose air dodges(on the same menu as customs and stats btw) would just be awsome...wait nvm that's not captain falcon and Ness so no not awsome it would be really cool :ok_hand:
Stat changes
Now stat changes are a very interesting and basic thing for when you select a fighter you can select a small stat change. Now in smash bros we would assume the custom stats are what would be changed. Now for those who have played brawlhalla skip this you know what I'm talking about but those who have not me the explain.

So in this pic you see each fighter has 4 stats, Now in smash it would be 3. In the game you can select a 1 point stat boost at the cost of 1 point in a different stat in smash it would be similar. The player could choose from one of 4 stat setups shown as icons. Speed, attack, defense and balanced. Now they would work much like normal customs.
Speed would increase ground and air speed and also jump height by a certain percent but lose attack damage, knockback and weight.
Attack would increase damage and knockback by a fair amount but would take away some weight and also cause the player to take more damage.
Defense would give more weight and also the fighter would take less damage but at the cost of some speed and jump height.
Balanced would be the default fighter so nothing special.
So essentially this idea is adding these stats would allow for a slight change in gameplay as also it would be (or should be) very balanced as the stat that is boosted is basicly being taken from the stat weakened.
In gameplay this could be a huge change as it would give players a choice which like customs would very much help them find a perfect playstyle and such.
Better custom move usage
UNLOCK THEM AT THE START PLEASE!!!
Yes I mean really it pissed me off on how annoying it is to unlock customs. Having them at the start would not really be an issue as it really would make the game more fun from the start rather than take hours to grind for them. But the other thing I want is custom selection right at the start of fighter select screen rather than a whole new menu mainly just to make the selection for fighters much faster in competitive play and even casual play.
Spot dodge counter
Now this is a kinda weird thing I feel would be nice. Now this would be a custom thing OR a default for each fighter but basicly the way this would work is the player when using a spot dodge would get a normal spot dodge and and attack after it. This attack would have a few extra frames of lag but you would be invincible during it so it would be punishable if used unsafely.

Better ledge attack/getup
HOW DO I START ON THIS IT IS SO USELESS!!
Ok...ok so I think most of us can agree edge get up attacks are useless so I got a solution....remove them. I'M JUST KIDDING GUYS!! so what i think would be best for ledge attack is to give every fighter a custom getup that varies depending on the fighter. The types of getups would vary but follow the same base guidelines.
Offensive getups would be attacks like we have but lots faster and safer to be a viable option. Depending on the fighter the power would vary. They all would have little endlag as they need to be useful but some could kill like tilts or whatever but others could be weak and even combo starters.
Defensive getups would be somthing like a roll but less endlag and positioned more like a spot dodge.
Speed getups would be like sheik's down be getup fast and safe.
Counter getups are the last and they would basicly be the more risky and rewarding. The player would get up in a counter attack state much like a lucina down b. However also like that attack it would have punishable endlag and really would only be viable after conditioning your opponent or somthing.
Now these new getups would add a few things to the game. The first is that every fighter would have their own unique getup that would accutaly not completely suck. And second they would in competitive play be nice as really just imagine the hype from getting a combo or kill of one of those.
Combo counter
This is simple just give us somthing like this in normal matches cause it would be cool and kinda helpful to commentators and also could add another element of hype as I mean really just seeing a combo counter like that can be hype. Also it is another thing that adds to the fighting game feel.

Damage based rage
So I think we can agree alot of people don't like rage but also some of the fanbase likes the idea of a buff or rage like system for high damage so I GOT AN IDEA! note this still could be potentially broken bit probably better than what we got now. So my thought is a rage system but it does not increase knock back but only damage. However to make this not super op the increase does not start until 75% and does not increase nearly as much as rage. This overall would weaken some fighters but overall would make the game more consistent in a good way (not 20XX)

Custom/mii/stage external ing
This is rather simple. Allow custom configs (if the custom menu select is not added) custom miis but most importantly custom stages to be ed via USB or SDcard to allow for offline stage sharing but more importantly make custom competitive stages much more possible.
Overall this would also help Nintendo as they would not have to have as large of a server for miis and stages as people would most likely just them elsewhere on the internet.
More community input
Now this idea is not as much a feature as it is a development path but I really think it could help the game and community. The idea is that developers work with top players and also Take community input when it comes to balance, mechanics and fighters. This would allow for the game to be more community based rather than sakurai based. I'm not saying we should be given all the power I'm only saying that at the start of the game we should be able to, as a community input into the game's design. If nothing else the more important of the two probably is top players input when it is developed because they can help find unbalanced crap...

I think ledge trumps overall are better than melee ledge. However the trump should not have as much knock back for better follow ups

Honestly I agree with most of these but SERIOUSLY can Sakurai just give every character a spike, I cannot stress this enough
